“Excellent cottage, warm, cozy and a great location.”

“We've always wanted to stay here. It's amazing and well presented. The balcony was used to the full. Bed so comfy, excellent nights sleep. Champagne in the fridge. Dishwasher if you need it. There's no downside to the Boathouse and we don't really want to leave. It has been a dream come true.”

“Pros: The house has everything we need! The host even prepared ice cubes and a bottle of milk for us. The house is very clean and tidy and spacious with three bedrooms available to sleep 6. It has all the amenities including dishwasher tablets, all cleaning stuff as well as all kitchen stuff. The host even had drawing books for kids. It is so comfortable sitting in the living room area enjoying the balcony view of a large grassland. Cons: Check-in instruction is not exactly clear that where to……

“Lovely comfortable cottage in an elevated position with spectacular views.”

“It was very good. Lovely location, easy commute, very clean and nice scenery from front of house. Recommended for anyone.”

“Cottage lovely and warm when we arrived. Could not get our heads around the wood burn. Bed is a touch low and bottom frame and drawers under bed likely to cause serious damage to toes and feet. Was very cosy.”

“Perfect location for a family get-together. The cottage is very spacious and well equipped and the grounds are beautiful. Kerith and Daryl were excellent hosts.”

“Great accommodation in a lovely little village with fantastic views. Everything you could need to make this a home from home and only a 20 minute walk into Keswick.”

“This is such a special place to stay - great location, incredible views of the mountains and just very different! The decor is quirky and so well thought through, everything is equipped to the highest level, the beds are super comfortable (and great to have the option of zip/linked or separate for different types of guests). Easy walking distance into town and Derwentwater, shops, cafes etc We loved it!”

“Excellent location and lovely property internally. Could do with a BBQ and some of the outdoor area is a little tired. Brilliant stay though and the decor and feel of the property is very homely”

“This was our second stay at Gretaside and we love the convenience of the town centre location and the sound of the river from the bedroom window. Also a bonus to have private secure parking. It is a top floor apartment so 3 sets of stairs to get your luggage up could be a challenge for some. The apartment had a well set up small kitchen with everything we needed. The bed is on the hard side and we brought our own topper to soften it. Wardrobe space is limited especially as the hoover is……

“The location of the apartment is ideal for everything. Very close to all the amenities & centre of Keswick plus the lakeside path to start walks. Beautifully decorated & everything we needed for a long weekend away. Enough space for 6 people with 2 bathrooms which is always a bonus. Would definitely return.”

“Set on a working farm in beautiful countryside with far reaching views. The property was lovely & clean & contained everything needed for a relaxing stay. A very comfortable bed, a lovely shower with plenty of hot water & the property was lovely & warm. There was plenty if onsite parking. Whilst we didn’t need to contact the hosts we knew they were close should we have need them. Lovely welcome pack on arrival. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay & will certainly return if we visit this area in the……

“We ended up here very last minute and we loved every minute of the nine nights we stayed here it. It's a great place to stay if you want to be near to Keswick but not necessarly in Keswick. If you've got a big SUV parking can be tricky but our Renault Captur fitted in there fine. It's highly recommended.”

“Excellent condition of property, fantastic location, great view. We had a lovely week and relaxing time.”

“We had an excellent stay at the cottage. Everything was clean and tidy. It was well equipped and comfortable. Would book again”

“This property is great value for money. Could do with a little bit of deor makeover in living room , a bit dated (sorry).but this may put people off which is otherwise a great rental. Very comfortable beds, bedrooms were lovely and spacious and very clean. One bedroom at the top of the property has a great view of Latrigg and Skiddaw on your own private balcony with chairs and a table. Great for a coffee on a morning . Massive added bonus is your own parking space at the rear of the property.……

“Excellent company to book with , all arrangements were very straight forward . A nice touch is supporting the local food bank with excess food t the end of your stay. Property was as described , well equipped and in a fab location .”
