Close to the beach

Great house to rent. Brought my family for a short stay. Everything was very easy from check in to check out. Short walk to the beach and is on a beach access road.

Beach getaway for my husband’s birthday a total success

the property was everything advertised and more. There was constant communication to check on any opportunities for improvement but we had no issues during our stay. Being so convenient to the beach made the trip complete and the local shopping and dining venues did not disappoint. We will definitely book again.

Nice place

Everything was very clean and well prepared. The only complaint that I had, was that the fridge leaked water the entire time that we were there. You might need to get someone to look at it.

Poor communication

This house is managed by Vacasa. They were terrible with communication when issues arose. The first night we were there the whole town lost power for the whole night. The house was hot and did not have alternative means of power. Other houses in the area had generators for times like that. The power went out again on our last night. Forcing us to leave and find a hotel near by. Again, communication with the property manager was terrible with 3+ hour response times. When I told them about the issues, they told me they had a message into the local staff and would get back to me. Still have yet to hear anything from them. I will not be using Vacasa again. We have had much better experiences with dealing with the property owners directly in the past. Otherwise, the house is in a great location. I would suggest for the stairway to have a gate at the top for small children to avoid falls. We enjoyed our trip for the most part. Aside from there being no power for two of the nights we were there.

Horrible management company

First time booking through a management company and I will say I will never do it again. No communication till the day before. I tried calling them to see about early check in I waited for over 2 hours still no response so just hung up. I sent multiple message no response. Finally at 3:30 when check in was at 4 they said no early check in funny thing is we already inside the beach house. The house smelled horrible like body odor and curry. We had to go buy plug in for the smell. We messaged them about that no response. The first time I used the bathroom is plugged up and I was fully aware house was on a septic system. I messaged them about the toilet and smell of the house no response. I also called them too no response. The trash was overflowing outside too. The neighbors said it ran monday/thursday so we had to deal with someone else trash plus our and it was overflowing from Friday to Monday. Other than the minor thing the beach house was fine the management company on the other hand I won’t book through again

Great option for family beach vacation

Our family of 7 stayed comfortably here and we had a great time! We loved being close to the beach and getting to relax on vacation, but still have all the things we need. The restaurant nearby was really good! (Tia Juanita’s)

Great location and family friendly

We stayed at Pelican View for a couple of days and liked the location which was only one street away from the beach. The house was the right size for our family and was small child friendly. The house could have been cleaner (dusty blinds, sock from previous tenants), the pots and pans need to be replaced, and the area rug had seen better days.

Great Place

I think the place was great, it wasn't as clean as you would expect. There were spider webs in the kitchen as if it had been shut up for a while. I think it was quite pricey to be such an older home, and not as clean as it could be.

False advertising! To say that this place has an "ocean view" is grossly misleading. You literally have to stand on the very corner of the balcony and squint past the 2 rows of houses in front to see the water. This was a huge disappointment for my family because we were looking forward to relaxing on the balcony and watching the waves. Another thing that would've been more of a courtesy than anything, would have been a list of what beach gear is provided. There are no beach chairs or beach towels provided. Aside from that, the house was clean and spacious for our 7 adults, 1 baby, and 2 dogs. Being able to park at the house and walk to the beach was very convenient! The owners just need to fix their advertising. And a couple small things that need to be addressed - the microwave above the stove did not work, so whenever we cooked, it would smoke out the house. And I'm not sure why the windows were locked closed - there was such a nice breeze while we were there and we wanted to open them. All in all, I do not plan to book this place again.

False advertising

I wanna start off by saying that "ocean view" is a gross exaggeration. You can see the ocean if you stand in a specific corner of the balcony and try to squint between the 2 rows of houses in front. My family was looking forward to hanging out on the balcony every day and watching the ocean waves, but nope. They need to take that off the listing because it's SO misleading. Another disappointment was the lack of beach towels. I think that all beach equipment provided should be listed so that guests can better prepare. And then the kitchen had a microwave above the stove which didn't work, so that meant there was no vent to use when cooking - needless to say, the place would get smoky every time we cooked. And what's the deal with the windows not being able to open? Besides that, the location was nice - it truly was a 2 minute walk to the beach. And it was very convenient to have 4 parking spots at the house. The cleanliness was on point as well. All in all, we made the best of it. I just feel like the owners need to update their listing to be more accurate.
