Distant Views Location Pets Welcome

This very comfortable holiday home is located just a few minutes' walk from the lovely township of Port Elliot. Its ideal location provides easy access to a variety of shops, eateries, and hotels along The Strand. Additionally, the beautiful Horseshoe Bay is only a short drive away, offering stunning coastal views and recreational activities.
As you enter the home, you will be greeted by a separate lounge area, complete with a TV and a ceiling fan for your comfort. Just across the hallway from the lounge is the main bedroom, featuring a queen bed and a ceiling fan. Further down the hall, you will find the second bedroom with a queen bed and ceiling fan, as well as the third bedroom with a bunk bed with a ceiling fan.
The open-plan sitting area, dining space, and kitchen create a welcoming and spacious atmosphere. This area is equipped with a reverse cycle air conditioner, ceiling fans, a TV, a DVD player, and an iPod dock. For those chilly nights, a slow combustion heater is available (tenants are responsible for supplying their own wood).
The fully self-contained kitchen includes a fridge/freezer, microwave, dishwasher, and a coffee machine (tenants are required to supply their own coffee pods).
The bathroom features a shower, vanity, and toilet, while a second separate toilet with a vanity is also available. The laundry area is equipped with a top loader washing machine for your convenience.
Upstairs, you will find a second living room with a balcony, offering an outdoor setting and a view of the township. It's a perfect spot to relax and enjoy the surroundings.
The property boasts an enclosed backyard with a BBQ and outdoor setting, providing a private and enjoyable space for outdoor dining and relaxation. The front garden area is also enclosed, ensuring privacy and security.
For parking, there is a carport available for one car, and off-street parking for two additional vehicles.
Overall, this holiday home offers a comfortable and convenient stay in Port Elliot, with its spacious layout, well-equipped amenities, and proximity to the township and nearby attractions.

Cancellation Policy
Guests can cancel free of charge until 60 days before arrival.
Guests will be charged 50% of the total price if they cancel within 60-30 days of arrival.
Cancellations within 30 days of arrival will not be refunded.
A booking fee may be charged to you at the owner's discretion.
Cancellations or refund requests by guests on arrival or during occupancy as a result of circumstances beyond the control of Escape Holiday Rentals will not be refunded. RLA298101.

Please note that the Owner has various rights as follows: Bookings are subject to confirmation by the Owner, and the Owner reserves the right to cancel a booking at any time. Travel insurance is recommended. If the full amount of rental is not received by the due date, the Owner may Retain ANY Deposit Paid, and re-let the property. Should you need to cancel your booking the owner reserves the right to Retain the payment received if we are unable to re-let for this period. All cancellations must be made in writing. RLA298101.

Relaxing, happy and wish it could have been a long stay
Was great for family that came over from the UK. My son-in-law was happy that everyone was under the same roof with 3 bedrooms and all the comforts of home. They had electric blankets on all beds, heaters incase it was a little chilly. Just very roomy. Thank you for having the dates available at short notice. Our other hosts from smugglers inn at Victor Harbor were very rude and cancelled our booking even though we paid our deposit. They almost weren't going to give our deposit back. That was the woman from smugglers inn, not her husband
Wasn't anything we didn't like, only that we wish it could have been longer stay. Thanks again

Charming older home close to amenities in Port Elliot. Unfortunately, there was a loss of power in the area on our last night there which was going to last into late evening, so we decided to return home. Otherwise the stay was comfortable and enjoyable.

A few attention to details required: chipped/ cracked plates on top of fridge, frying pans that are so scratched they are probably cancer causing, Champagne glasses would be good (especially if renting for Xmas and New year).

Great getaway cottage!

Such a beautiful character property! Great location, just a few minutes walk to the Port Elliot hotel (which has an amazing beer garden!) and the shops. Loved having 2 living areas so kids had their own space to watch TV, and 2 toilets is def a bonus! Had pretty well everything we needed for our weeks stay. Would be perfect to have a new bunk and matresses or 2 singles in 3rd bedroom for the kids & the 2nd QB was quite hard for our sons liking, but the 1st bedrooms bed was comfy for us. Having said that, we'd stay again! Check in and out was easy at LJ Hooker Victor Harbour. The agent and property owner was very quick to respond and try to resolve issue when we noticed a water leak. Great value for money, and very glad we booked here!

Great position as rather quiet and close to local shops & close enough for walks on the beach or the great walking track. House rules are quite intimidating at first & confusing as a cleaning fee is paid but vacuuming is expected to be done by the renters. Also very confusing regarding rubbish & recycling. Discussion with the managing agent cleared up a few things but I suggest owner and management need to come to an arrangement to sort out these problems. Fantastic to find a pet friendly place. Thankyou

Good location

Loved the location of this house, with it being walking distance to the local restaurants, bakery, pubs and Horseshoe Bay. However there are some things to mention which could be improved. The aircon is only in the kitchen and the unit is a bit out of date and probably due for an upgrade as it wasn't very effective. In order to avoid a rubbish collection fee we had to take our own rubbish with us even though they had wheelie bins available. This seemed unreasonable when there is already a cleaning fee. Not sure how much of this fee gets put into use as we found rubbish from the previous tenants in the backyard and under the couch; and found the floors dusty and the rugs sandy. The vacuum cleaner and mop was broken and the drains in the bathroom smelt a bit mouldy. This place has potential to be 5 stars if it's spruced up a bit!!
