On the water with excellent and interesting views

On the water with excellent and interesting views this clean rental was very enjoyable. Nosy Mother lives nearby and checks regularly. Sun in the morning and limited neighbors make this the perfect location for a morning cup of coffee. Birds, Fish, Ships and SpaceX

The water is calling

It’s a cute lil place right on the water. Super nice to have a washer and dryer. Our only complaint is no TV in the bedroom. If it’s a rainy day and we just want to lay in bed and veg out. We actually went to Walmart and bought an open box one so I could lounge on our rainy day. Kitchen is great and nice to have a lil separate bathroom also. We would definitely rent again just have to pack our cheep tv ;)

Comfort Seaside

First time visiting the South Texas area. Location & the amenities were the highlights of my stay at Long Island Village 638 Sand Dollar justs an ideal place to relax & recharge from the city life. Everything I needed was provided for a comfortable stay. All the comforts of home w/washer & dryer onsite. Amenities galore to keep you engaged & having fun. Not to mention, a super friendly community of people as well. Close enough to South Padre Island (SPI) without being on the island. Enjoyed the small town feel, friendly people & rich culture of Port Isabel. When I wanted a bit more excitement, I just crossed over Queen Isabella Causeway to SPI to sun-bath & get my feet wet on the beautiful white sand beach with blue water.

Not as expected

First on arrival the kitchen floor had food crumbs and entry needed to be swept. This place needs updates bad!!!!! Kitchen chair seat was not attached. My husband hit his head on an old tv mount in the kitchen. The outside furniture was so old and nasty and covered with bird poo! I believe there’s mold in the bathroom. The dryer squeaks so loud you think it’s going to die. This is absolutely the worst place we’ve ever rented. The area was really nice and we did enjoy our visit to port Isabel. I have pictures but this won’t let me submit them.

Great home, great view

Excellent on the water with awesome su rise views of South Padre Island and Spacex. Home had covered patio and direct access for us to put in our kayaks and paddle around the community. Home is comfortable, even had a small BBQ and kitchen was well equipped for meal prep. (We brought our own blender.) King bed was comfy, couches and TV chair was comfy too. Good TV and WiFi for streaming movies. Good check in communication from Vacasa. Would suggest you look at the Vacasa listing too, VRBO charged an additional service fee upon check out. The resort requires $90 resort/parking fee upon arrival, which is posted in the listing. This fee provides you access to resort ammenities like 3 par golf course, pickleball, indoor and outdoor pools and hot tubs, craft area, community center and library. There is 24 hour security guard at the gate. Vacasa staff/ma ager was very responsive to assist us with the door code. Would recommend this home if you are looking for a place on the water, with a direct view of spacex activity.
