The layout and location of the property was awesome.

Captain Roy's is in a great location on the beach, and the property and grounds are well maintained. We had an awesome visit and look forward to returning.

Wonderful condo!

We had an amazing week at Captain Roy's ! The condo was spotless, comfortable and directly on the beach. Everything is new and is well stocked with everything you need! Mexico beach is so beautiful and peaceful, and Killer Seafood across the street is outstanding! Shipwreck Raw Bar is so good too! We can't wait to come back, thanks for a great winter getaway!

Wonderful Vacation

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. We honeymooned in Mexico Beach 49 years ago and had not been back since - lots of changes! The condo had all the necessities, and the location was perfect. Since we are both 70 the stairs were a bit of a challenge, but the amenities and the gorgeous views made up for that!

Captains Roy's was Awesome, our stay was great and the weather was too. we have been to Mexico Beach mulitple times. We have stayed at one of LeGenia's places every time, she is a great host. Cant wait to our next trip.

Perfect beach getaway

My family and I had the perfect beach getaway at this wonderful condo. You walk right out your door onto the white sandy beach, absolutely beautiful! Best location & property to stay in.

Capt. Roy's was the bomb! We had been staying for the past 10 years in Dune Allen on 30-A, but never again. We love the much slower pace and less congestion of Mexico Beach. You almost have the beach to yourself (in August). Could not have had a condo any better. Everything was top notched.

Amazing condo on an amazing beach!

Gorgeous property on a beautiful beach. We couldn't have asked for a better place to stay! Everything was clean and comfortable 3 Great patios to sit out on depending on the time of day! Lower patio was perfect breeze during the day Main floor was perfect in evenings and morning. Comfy beds and fully stocked kitchen! Great beach chairs for use just a few steps from the condo. Best place we have stayed at in Florida! Great food trucks in walking distance. We can't wait to come back!

Absolutely the best place we have ever stayed. If you are looking for a place to stay where there are no crowds and everyone is friendly then this place is it.The stairs are the only down side but we did ok. The top hand rail needs to be extended. I did not want to leave!

Perfect Beach Getaway

Captain Roy’s is a beautifully appointed home for a perfect getaway on the beach. The description and pictures online are very accurate-it is as beautiful and comfortable as it looks! We especially enjoyed the balconies overlooking the water, array of seating areas, close access to the uncrowded beach and quaint town with a few local restaurant and food truck options. There is a also Dollar General just up the street with everything you could need and a grocery store about 15 min away in Port St. Joe. This home and location offers a tranquil place to getaway and enjoy the natural beauty all around.

I really don’t know what to say, except that we WILL be back next year for a longer stay. The couple that accompanied us was impressed! The home was very clean, the beds were very comfortable!! The location was on point, the local food trucks deliciously hot! The amenities gets a thumbs up. I want to say thank you to the host LaGenia for being so kind and patient she’s amazing!! Vrbo was very helpful in assisting me on my first Vrbo booking.

Beautiful Stay

Our stay at Captain Roy’s was wonderful. Pictures do not do it justice. The condo was clean and smelled lovely. We appreciate the extra beach chairs and beach toys for the kiddos. I do suggest bringing your own umbrella (ours was broken that was provided under the deck- but no one should rely on that). Base products were provided, but I recommend bringing extra just in case. We loved how this is not a crowded or touristy area and you are short steps from the beach. We are planning on coming back next year!

Cousin's Weekend

My cousins and I met for a few days at the beach. Captain Roy's is exactly as pictured and described. There are 15 steps up to the front door and 18 to the upstairs, but it was clean, comfortable, and the view of the beach is marvelous! Had one question for the property manager and she promptly replied. Thank you!

AWESOME BEACH VACATION

What an absolutely beautiful property. LOVE the 3 levels with outside areas on each. Great location. Steps to the water. Gorgeous views and amazing sunsets. If you’re looking to relax and listen to the waves crashing, this is the perfect spot. I’m so glad I took a chance and tried a new area. We fell in love as soon as we arrived. This place is so much better than we could have imagined. The unit has everything you need. We can’t wait to come back, and you can’t go wrong with this lovely home. My Paradise Found

I first visited Mexico Beach in 1991 and this was my first trip since 2017. While they are still recovering from hurricane Michael in 2018, it is the same piece of paradise I have enjoyed for years and the local residents are just as friendly as ever. This trip I traveled alone and spent time in thought and self reflection. Long morning walks on the beach and afternoons soaking up the sunshine is an ideal way to relax, rewind, and recharge. Captain Roy's was the perfect place to reconnect and heal with my "unforgotten coast." It was everything I had hoped it would be except my stay wasn't quite long enough. I will return soon and often and hope to stay at Captain Roy's or another of LaGenia's properties when I do.
