House has amazing location with virtually your own private beach. House is spacious and the kitchen has everything you could need. Host company was very friendly and attentive and responded within minutes when needed. Made for a perfect vacation for my group of 6. Weather was great all week

We had a wonderful 3-night stay at A Wise Way. The location is perfect—right on the beach, close to Cape San Blas, stores, and downtown Port St. Joe. The house was very comfortable, and we appreciated meeting the owner’s grandson next door, who kindly offered to help if needed. We loved the peaceful days on the beach with no crowds. Would definitely stay here again!

Great Location, Excellent Beach

Overall we had a great stay, location is very quiet and private. Couldn't ask for a better location including the deck, parking, and beach. House is in decent shape, could use some updates and shows some wear and tear. Good set-up, well stocked, all appliances worked as they should. Had no problems with the communication or check in and this is much appreciated. Did not rate the cleanliness great and this is due to we had tiny ants coming in on the kitchen counter and had to kill 2 very large roaches so house is obviously due to be sprayed. It is a Florida beach house so some pests can be tolerated but for the price we paid to rent this house, I would not expect us to have to deal with this. Other than that the house was cleaned well upon arrival.

Great getaway

Perfect for our small family, plenty of space for a family of 3-6. Unfortunately the washer was out of balance during our stay.Quiet beach with plenty of privacy. Would love to stay here again.

Awesome Beach House

We had a great time at the beach the week after Christmas! Plenty of room for our group of four adults and two dogs. Not sure who liked the beach more…We had not stayed on that part of 30A before and will definitely stay again as the beach is beautiful and very pet friendly…and 5 minutes from The Raw Bar! The house is great and very well stocked! Don’t let the pictures of an “older” house discourage you from renting this one.

We enjoyed our stay and would stay again. The master bath isn't private to the master bedroom - the door to the master bath is just outside the door to the master bedroom, so bring a robe.

Our Stay There were a couple of issues with our stay I would like to share. 1 When we first arrived we had trouble entering. 1st, it’s a 9 digit code, too long in my opinion. But on top of that the instructions were for a Yale lock, this home has a Schlage lock. We struggled with that (thought about calling for a key) and finally went thru the VRBO/Vacasa app for confirmation on how to operate it. Shouldn’t have to jump thru hoops just to enter. 2. Then there was the refrigerator delivery. We get a text stating, literally, FYI, a fridge will be delivered on 2/20. To the driveway? Into the home? Rob called and talked to a Vacasa rep about this and yes, in fact the fridge would be switched out. A rep would meet the delivery and we could be there or not. This in itself is intrusive. Do we schedule the 4 hour window to be here and move our own food? Do we put it in coolers? The appx $1600 in Vacasa fees are paid for these exact things not to happen. It got a little worse. On Tuesday I got two missed calls and a text regarding this fridge. This is the text: Fridge guy is 15 away. I’m more than 15 minutes away. Is the door open. I’m on Mexico Beach. He was supposed to call 30 mins before I am not a coworker of this person. There was a 4 hour window, 12-4, and a Vacasa rep should have been here waiting in the driveway for the delivery, period. No one from Vacasa ever showed. We were on the beach, Rob happened to go up to the house and saw a delivery truck. He let them in, h

The waves of St Joe's

This was an absolute marvelous stay, having access right out to the beach could not have been better. The house was great and served us well, but is well worn and could use some basic feature updates. We would stay again but I'd try to negotiate a better rate.

Delightful

Well appointed, comfortable and pet friendly. The beds were perfect for us. We enjoyed the one floor, only stairs are to the front door. Laundry room down stairs where car is parked, no access from inside the house, but that is ok. Shower outside and boardwalk to the beach was just a very short walk. Will stay again.

The good, the bad and the magical

So many thoughts. The good: comfortable bed and chairs, great view, quiet, beautiful, dog beach. The bad: a/c didn’t work. I took a pic of the a/c turned to 72 degrees and the temp in the house was 82 degrees. It was difficult to sleep. The lock on the door was many digits and had to be put in every time we unlocked the door. It was difficult to lock the door. I suggest reading the manual for The door lock b4 staying. We were very frustrated. I tried calling Vacasa and instead had to listen to advertisements . The ceiling fans worked but only when the lights were on. No large garbage bag so we used the small bathroom bags so had 3 bags when we were done which was unwieldy. No keurig and no coffee filters, so bring filters and coffee. No tissues, no usb ports so had to alternate all my chargers. The magical: so peaceful and uniquely remote. Phenomenal dog friendly beach, private, great porch overlooking the water w many comfortable chairs. Such a mixed bag of feelings but overall a good place that could be great.

A wonderful house, that accommodated grandparents, parents, child, baby, and dogs.

We had such fun at this beach house. The amazing short walk to the beach - really just out the door. A great deck with lots of seating for watching morning sunrise and evening sunsets. We fished, read, played, and just refreshed on the gorgeous beach. Well furnished for a large family group. Great location, lots of private beach space.

Family Vacation 2022

Week was good, ocean water pretty dirty from sand. Red flag warning most of week,, but still enjoyed the time. We saw dolphins close to beach. Would recommend to anyone. Can't change Mother nature.

Fantastic!

We enjoyed staying here so much!! The beach was not crowded at all. The porch was perfect for sitting and watching the waves. We had everything we needed for cooking. We even saw deer from the porch several times!
