They say you can watch the sunset from the balcony but you can't see it now because of new buildings. And the mattress on the bed felt like a spring was coming through the mattress . Could use a new mattress.

My husband and I really enjoyed our stay. Very clean and comfortable. The location is close to the Ocean, shops and restaurants. We already have it booked for next year, only for a longer stay. Thank you for sharing your Gem!

The pool was Full of leaves, two ceiling fans had issues, and the sewer backed up. This place has the vibe of living in a oversized double car garage. The rental company moved us to in a very nice house down the road in Port St Joe.

Only thing that we didn’t enjoy was leaving. Hines Hideaway was absolutely the best we have ever stayed at during our stay at Mexico beach. The home was beautiful, the pool very nice, the neighborhood welcoming and the walk to the beach lovely. We will be back.

We loved everything about this stay. House is nice, pool, and very close to ocean. The only suggestion I can make is a tv in the bedroom and the washer/dryer was not the greatest. But we will definitely be thinking of returning.

In brief, this place was just okay. Extremely overpriced for what you get. I emailed the property manager directly with my issues. Never heard back. Not gonna rehash all the issues, but just as an example, we arrived to find a dead rat floating in the pool along with a bunch of leaves and trash. Even though they said they would address it, they scooped the rat out and left the rest of the pool as is. Would not recommend this place. There are better places to stay in the area.
