Perfect

The house, property and location were absolutely perfect! The walk to the beach was 3 houses away and you're at the water in 3 minutes. The pool was huge and fit our family of 9. We will definitely stay here again.

Wonderful Stay

We really enjoyed our stay at Shellfish Cottage. Had a little trouble with Air initially, but it was fixed immediately. We especially loved the pool.Great location also!

Great Retreat!

My family and I stayed at Shellfish Cottage for Spring Break and had a wonderful time. The weather was cooler at night and some days but the pool stayed warm and we enjoyed it every day. The outdoor space here is so great! It’s the ideal spot for lounging and grilling and just hanging outside. Beach access is literally across the street and you can even watch the sunset from the front balcony. Port St. Joe is quieter than most of 30A and provided the best retreat. The house was well stocked, clean, and comfortable. We would not hesitate to stay again.

Shellfish Cottage 2024

This is our second year at Shellfish Cottage. We love it there and it feels like home! The location and all of the amenities at the house are awesome!! The neighbors are extremely nice and helpful in finding rainy day things to do! Hope that we are able to come back for our 3 year next year!!

Another Great Stay!

This was our second stay at Shellfish Cottage. We love this place! An easy, quick walk to the beach is great and makes it easy with young kids. The house is beautiful, clean, and provides all the tools you need to cook great meals. My only complaint this time is that the hot tub did not work our entire stay. I informed the company on Monday and they send someone out Tuesday. He told us he could not figure it out and would ask someone else. We never heard from anyone after that. We book this house specifically for the outdoor area, so that was a big letdown for us. We'd like to stay again, but we did feel like the problem was slightly pushed to the side.

Great vacation home w/minor issues

Arriving on check in day, we were unable to get into the house since the keypad batteries were dead. Pool had rocks & broken seashells at the bottom, and appeared the pool was not filtering properly. You have to pay extra for pool heat (was not stated anywhere on listing or contract). Once we were finally able to reach the management of the rental company things were fixed quickly & were able to enjoy the house. I recommend

Great home!

This was perfect for 2 adults and 6 teenage girls. They had their own space downstairs, loved the pool and hot tub, and the walk to the beach was really quick. We also enjoyed the home for the same reasons. The only reason we didn't rate it as excellent is because of a few little things such as the second floor balcony fan didn't work, the hot tub cover is falling apart and very difficult to get on/off, and the bunk room only has curtains, no door. The master bed is very soft which we don't like, but that's a personal preference. Other than that the home was clean, very well appointed and a great location.

Such a great stay!

This place was SO clean and had everything we needed. The back yard is a total oasis and it's a very easy walk to the beach, even with little kids. Food trucks and dollar general (with tons of cheap things you'll need like dishwasher detergent, etc, by the way!), walking distance. We would love to stay again! My only feedback that may be helpful to other vacationers is that the kids' bunk room doesn't actually have a door, just a curtain. So our toddler had a hard time falling asleep and we had to stay pretty quiet when she slept. Also, my parents found the beds way too soft, but I personally loved them! But they said there's in the master suite was a little concave too… but so many other “wins” about this place we loved it anyway. Enjoy!

Wonderful stay at Shellfish Cottage

This was our first time visiting Port St.Joe, which was very nice! We didn't want the busyness of Panama City, and this was just right! We enjoyed our stay at the Shellfish Cottage, which accommodated our family of 4 adults and 4 children ranging in ages 2 to 9 perfectly. Our son and his girlfriend also accompanied us during the day and there was plenty of room. The house is tastefully decorated, clean and you can see the gulf off the upstairs deck, which we enjoyed particularly in the morning with a cup of coffee or tea, discussing the fun our grandkids had in the pool each afternoon once the beach across the street was exhausted! They even enjoyed the hot tub a few short steps from the pool. The splash pad in the pool was perfect for a 2 y.o., which made it easy to relax and cool off close by. A big plus was having the extra refrigerator, sink and ice maker steps from the pool, in addition to the extra “outdoor” bathroom! The two separate living rooms were nice for our group, especially after the kids went to bed and the adults had some down time. Having a place to do laundry was a must for us, especially with 4 little people! The kitchen had plenty of cookware and dishes, cups, utensils, no issues. I reached out to Amy twice for small issues for which she responded immediately and within a few hours issues were resolved. We recommend the Shellfish Cottage for those looking for a nice place to make memories at Port St.Joe!
