「Our family with a mix of Canadians and Ticos had the BEST time at Casa Cielo Rojo. House and property are gorgeous and Matt was an outstanding host!! Beautiful tropical landscaping and views of both mountains and ocean (at a distance) were highlights… stars were incredible at night!! House and casita are beautifully decorated and made the perfect location for our family meals… Location was super convenient to explore many beaches - with a little bit of a drive. 「This is a cute little property off the beaten path. Lots of tico places to eat in the area but you need a car. We don’t recommend the seafood place across the highway though. Breakfast was amazing, especially the homemade bread and condiments. The laminated note in the room about not getting sand in the beach towels was a little odd!」

「My family and I stayed here for 6 nights and had the most amazing time! The property is absolutely gorgeous, peaceful, and just the right amount of isolation in the mountains. The staff was incredibly nice and accommodating, always checking to make sure you're having a great time. The excursions were fantastic, we highly recommend the white water rafting! 「The hotel is perched on a mountain side overlooking the Whales Tale of Uvita. There is an animal preserve within walking distance that provided an excellent opportunity to learn about Costa Rica's incredible animal life.
The staff were wonderful - always smiling and willing to assist in any way.」
