Casa Mateus

This appartment is always desinfected by a professional team in all the check out, against covid19. It is equipped with alcohol gel for customer safety.This apartment has 2 bedrooms and sleeps 4 people. It is a 120m2 accommodation furnished with taste and modern, with views to the garden and swimming pool.In the living room you can find a smart TV, DVD player and channel receiver. There is also a fireplace for the winter cold and also an air conditioning.In the kitchen, fully equipped, we have oven, microwave, coffee machine, juicer, kettle and crockery needed for six people. Both the living room and the kitchen have access to a balcony overlooking the garden and pool where you can find table and chairs so that our guests can enjoy to the fullest. There is also a washing machine.In the master bedroom has one of the bathroom and the other bedroom has two single beds. The entire apartment is air-conditioned.It is located 50 m from Pingo Doce supermarket, 500 m from Centro, 500 m from Centro da vila, 700 m from Ria de Alvor, 1 km from Alvor beach. km from the rock beach "Praia 3 Irmãos", 3 km from the "Penina" golf course, 6 km from the "Portimão" train station, 6 km from the "Portimão" bus station, 15 km from the "Slide and Splash" ", 60 km from the airport" Faro "and located in an ideal area for families and within an urbanization.

The property was lovely and clean, overlooked the pool. Kitchen was well equipped and rooms had Aircon. The WiFi never missed a beat..We where contacted to ensure of our arrival time so everything was prepared. Had the room cleaned a week into the holiday which was nice.Plenty of towels.Supermarket over the road and not too far from the main strip with lots of lovely bars and restaurants. Bus routes around local towns and cities or Ubers and taxis. Lovely long beach so take your pick of a cove or a wide open stretch for a swim

Een geweldig mooi appartement op een perfecte locatie

We hebben een top verblijf gehad. Claudio is super , appartement heel schoon en van alles voorzien. Supermarkt 2 min lopen , cetrum 10 min lopen en strand 20 min lopen. Zeker voor herhaling vatbaar.

Summer vacation

We stayed for 10 days in this beautiful and very clean appartement. Perfect location for sightseeing and trips all around the algarve. Beaches near by and only a few minutes of walking to the center of Alvor. The appartement had everything we needed. Some of the dishes could be renewed. The pool itself was clean, the area around it just ok. New lounge chairs would have been nice. I would definately book this place again.

Casa Mateos

Casa Mateos is a beautifully presented and comfortable apartment in a great location. Quiet for a relaxing break but close to the town and supermarket. The pool was a great addition and during our stay we had the pool to ourselves. Cláudio was there to greet us and show us around making check-in really smooth. Would definitely recommend this apartment and hope to return next year.

An incredible month in Alvor! Lovely Casa Mateus, a hidden gem; absolute spotless, close enough to walk to the Centro & the beach & far enough to enjoy peace & quiet. Absolutely brilliant holiday the apartment was superb, great location no taxis needed all amenities are walkable. Lovely swimming pool which we had to ourselves. Awesome place to stay

Fantastic place to stay. Exceptionally clean on arrival and proves a lot of care taken in looking after it. Facilities superb. More than you need. Our stay in Alvor

Claudio is the best possible Property Manager..from the warm welcome on our arrival to the fond farewell when we left.. he was brilliant. The apartment is spotlessly clean and well equipped, and the last 4 days we were there the local noisy building work was coming to an end. The property is ideally situated for the town and coast, and the excellent local supermarket is only 200 metres away. We had an excellent 3 week holiday with mostly warm ,sunny days.

Comfortable apartment

A comfortable 2 bed apartment, owned by a very helpful and friendly family. The welcome was very warm, as was the apartment with the wood burning fire being lit, as well as a nice welcome pack of basic foods, fruit and wine. The living room was also nicely decorated for Xmas. The living areas and bedrooms are very nice and comfortable and the property has a good size balcony that gets sun in the afternoon. We thought the bathrooms let the property down some what. Old fashioned shower curtains rather than screens and a number of cracked tiles and holes in the walls where fittings had been removed. The owner had said he hoped the work on the adjoining building site would be finished by the time we arrived. Unfortunately that was not the case. At times it was rather noisy, especially if sitting on the balcony. I guess in 3 or 4 months most of the work should be finished. On Xmas eve the owner and his wife visited us and gave us a Portuguese Xmas Cake which was very kind. He also dealt very quickly when we had a problem with the hot water and called to say good bye just before we left.

Home from home

Casa Mateus is a beautiful apartment and Claudio and his team do everything in their power to make it as comfortable and homely as possible, even to having a lovely fire lit for our arrival. Unfortunately during our stay there was a lot of building activity at a number of sites in close proximity to the apartment and it was very noisy. I have to say that Claudio was very accommodating and we ended up having a very enjoyable holiday in Alvor and cant wait to go back! The location of the apartment is excellent, being a five minute walk into the town with its numerous restaurants, shops and bars and of course the Boardwalk and beach. The work should be finished soon and I would definitely go back to Alvor and Casa Mateus, if possible!
