We spent a long weekend in Portland. The location of the apartment was fantastic! Within walking distance of a ton of great restaurants, shops, and the ferry. There were several reviews about the parking. We had no issues finding street parking within 4-5 blocks each night. There was also a parking garage nearby, but we never had to use it. The apartment was upstairs. It was decorated very nicely and was very clean. It was a great apartment for a couple wanting a few days away. We’d absolutely stay here again.

Fire alarm issue

The home was clean and as expected. There was a pass for parking garage across the street. The only complaint is that the fire alarm went off 3 times in the middle of the night. The fire department came and said the detector in the bedroom had been removed, and the remaining one was malfunctioning probably due to a battery.

The post on Expedia mentioned “free parking for one vehicle”. Vacasa emailed AFTER payment (non-refundable!) and said parking is first come first served. When we arrived the spot was taken so we had to go park at a parking garage ($40 overnight). It was late at night too. I consider this false advertisement, and I should be reimbursed. On top of it, as you enter the apartment (upper floor, no elevator) you have to carry your luggage an extra flight of stairs (INSIDE your apartment - on some shady stairs). I would not recommend this apartment. Better to avoid.
