Step outside and discover a foodie paradise with endless dining options, from food carts to acclaimed restaurants. Explore unique shops, catch a movie at the historic Bagdad Theater, or hike up Mt. The Space:

The building’s exterior offers a striking departure from the typical urban landscape, featuring a unique blend of materials and textures. Rusted metal siding, painted stucco panels, and charred Japanese Shou Sugi Ban wood create a distinctive look, making it a landmark along Hawthorne Boulevard. Nestled between Hawthorne’s bustling commercial hub and residential streets adorned with architectural gems from the past 120 years, this building seamlessly bridges the old and the new.



Inside, the design exudes sleek and calming European elegance. Residents will enjoy premium surfaces and finishes, including mini-split heating and cooling systems, stainless steel appliances with dishwashers, in-unit washer/dryers, 9-foot ceilings, expansive windows, and exquisite cabinetry topped with sparkling quartz countertops. This meticulous attention to detail ensures both style and comfort in every corner.

The Neighborhood:

Commonly known as “Foodie Row,” the Hawthorne/Buckman District places you within walking distance of an incredible array of top-notch local flavors (no chain restaurants here!). Indulge in vegan poutine fries and grilled PB&Js at the Cartopia food cart pod, savor wings right around the corner at Fire on the Mountain, share a pie at Apizza Scholls (consistently voted Portland’s favorite pizza), or opt for an elegant evening at Castagna—all within a 1.5-mile stretch.



Portland's charm extends beyond its culinary delights. The vibrant indie spirit of the Hawthorne area is alive with a multitude of made-in-Oregon shops and boutiques, making it a true hipster haven. Catch a movie at Bagdad Theater and Pub, a revamped 1920s theater turned view-and-brew venue serving local McMenamins food and microbrews.



If bar hopping isn’t your preferred activity, head up to Mt. Tabor, a 196-acre city park atop a dormant volcano vent. Here, you’ll find miles of hiking trails and incredible panoramic views of the city, providing a perfect escape into nature right within the city limits. Whether you're a foodie, a nature enthusiast, or someone who loves exploring unique shops, the Hawthorne/Buckman District offers something special for everyone.



Getting Around:

Our apartment is conveniently located in the vibrant Southeast Portland neighborhood, making it easy to explore the city. If you're driving, you can access the property from SE Hawthorne Blvd or SE Division St, both major thoroughfares. Ample street parking is available near the property; please check the signage for any restrictions or time limits.



For those using public transportation, the area is well-served by several bus lines 14 and 15 running nearby. Bus line 14 travels along SE Hawthorne Blvd, connecting you to downtown Portland and the Hawthorne District, while bus line 15 travels along SE Belmont St, providing access to the Lloyd District and the Pearl District.



Ride-sharing services like Uber and Lyft are readily available in Portland and can drop you off right at the doorstep.



If you just plan on roaming around the city and checking out Portland's diverse neighborhoods, there's really no need for a car. The Hawthorne area is a walker's paradise, with a 92/100 WalkScore® and 98/100 BikeScore®. Portland is also known for being bike-friendly, with numerous bike lanes and racks available throughout the neighborhood. Renting a bike can be a great way to explore the area and enjoy the local scenery.



With its excellent location, our apartment offers easy access to the trendy shops, restaurants, and cafes of Southeast Portland, as well as nearby attractions such as Laurelhurst Park and the historic Bagdad Theater. Perfect Getaway

This was an awesome little apartment with everything you need to make your stay comfortable. It is walking distance of so many things to grocery store, restaurants and bars. It is on a bus route so getting around was a breeze. We will definitely be back next winter.
