Casa de Gaia, a view of the Douro River

Casa de Gaia is a single storey villa with 50 square meters. With a superb view of the Douro River, it has recently been remodeled with the aim of providing maximum comfort to our guests. It is located in a very quiet and safe housing area. The Douro River, the bridge D. Luiz and the wine cellars of Porto are located 1.5 km from the house of Gaia. The center of Porto is at a distance of 2.2 km. The bus stop is 40 meters from the house and the metro is 900 meters away.

Wir hatten einen wunderschönen Aufenthalt in Porto.Der Besitzer der Ferienwohnung hat uns sehr freundlich empfangen, alles erklärt und gute Tipps gegeben. Die Wohnung war sehr schön, sauber und sehr gut ausgestattet. Von der Wohnung aus konnten wir Porto erkunden. Ein schöner Aufenthalt.Die Wohnung ist sehr zu empfehlen.

Wear comfy shoes and you'll love the place

Excellent host. Super clean comfy apt. No needs unmet. It's a bit of a hike to downtown Porto but the walk is lovely. Plan on significant elevation changes and lots of steps to get to the old city. We would absolutely stay here again but maybe pack a little lighter and rent a smaller car.

Nice holiday in Portugal

We were received very warmly. Contacting previously by whatsApp was optimal. The landlord had already provided a few important items for our breakfast and a large fruit bowl was waiting for us! He also accompanied us to the supermarket, as we arrived in the apartment shortly before closing time of the supermarket. Alvaro, thanks a lot !! He also gave us a lot of tips for possible excursions and sightseeing. Some information material was also available. Also during our two-week stay, the landlord repeatedly contacted us. In the apartment everything was available, which is not always self-evident. We did not miss anything. The way to the city of Porto on foot was easy for us , but often we also went by metro. By walking over the bridge Ponte Luis I., however, was spectacular! Since in the area of ​​the apartment the parking situation is quite tense, we recommend to rent a smaller car. For 2 people the apartment was ideal, for 4 adults it could be a little too small. In Porto and the north you can do a lot. We never got bored. And the Port wine is delicious! We'll be back! Greetings from Germany!
