We enjoyed our stay very much. The location is perfect for the river and we enjoyed the amazing view. This is a very old building, restored and has a lot of character - so very unique. Communication with staff and check-in instructions were clear. However, our requests for towel change got ignored repeatedly, sadly. We did find a large bag of clean towels in the hallway though… Property was reasonably clean. We would recommend this location for it’s uniqueness.

The apartment was fantastic. The location was epic, with fantastic views of the Duoro River. Was easy check-in too. Only suggestion is to get some throw pillows to provide protection as the couch arm is very hard.

This flat with a river review was an amazing place to stay with our daughter. Check in was easy, the place was clean and safe, and right next to the river. My daughter loved her loft. The sitting area was great to relax after a day climbing the Porto hills. Overall great experience.

Room opened out right on the river, wonderful view, convenient to all kinds of restaurants, also McDonalds is 200ft away. Small food store, water, chips etc, 100ft away. Bed was comfortable, entire place was very clean. We would definitely stay there again. Easy walking distance to nearly every historic site, we never took a taxi once we got to room, stayed 4 days.

Lovely clean spacious apartment

Lovely location. Booked for the view, which didn’t disappoint. Very clean and spacious. I am used to a softer bed with topper, so found the bed a little hard, but that is a personal preference and not a criticism.

Wow! What a great location and one of the best views of the river right from our sitting area and deck. We loved being able go right next door to a great restaurant or walk just a block to the square with fantastic entertainment. We were there over a weekend and the area was filled with things to see and do and places to visit. The apartment was easy to access and check in. We would visit Porto and stay in this apartment in a heartbeat.

Great location no doubt, while the facilities were old and lack of basic maintenance (lights, kitchen fan), not enough cooking utensils for family use, only 4 decaf capsules left in the cabinet (contacted online with the staff but no response), overall I love the location but anything else was disappointed.

Great location & view but no toiletries

The instructions for check-in were very clear and easy. The place was very nice with balconies overlooking the ribeira. The only thing that was missing to give the perfect comfort stay is that there were no minimum toiletries provided (shower gel, shampoo and lotion). While this is not costly, it would make a major difference for practicality. Since we are mostly on short stays and flying, we are limited in bringing liquids and that was extremely inconvenient for us.

The view is unbeatable. Like a lot of parts of Portugal not very easy to get to but not hard. It’s an older property so has its issues in plumbing and sound proofing. Could hear the upstairs neighbors as they walked as I am sure the downstairs could hear my kids. We did not even meet the staff so cannot really say if they were friendly. If you are looking for a service apartment I don’t think this is a place for you. It was comfortable but limited.

The parking was terrible so it was hard to carry out baggage on the cobblestone from such a long distance. There was no staff there to ask questions. The room and view was great but thats it. It was very loud all night and also the toilet seat and shower handle were broken when we got there and also they had no lights on in the hallway.

Absolute Must Stay

My first trip to porto and when I come back I’ll be staying here again. This was so perfect for me. I didn’t need to cook but it was nice to have the space and a fridge for leftovers! The balcony and view were magical. It was very convenient (as long as you don’t mind walking up hills - which if you do mind porto may not be the city for you) to the most popular spots. You must have dinner at Ode - make a reservation. Everything worked, wifi was good, it was clean, I was able to leave my bags in the room while they cleaned because I arrived early morning, very nice car escort when I arrived that they arranged, it was such a distinct location that I didn’t need to use my phone to get back to it ever. Felt safe! I only took videos of the apt so here are views from it and the street it’s on. Also there is a €3 ferry right near the apt (5 min walk) that takes you directly across to all the port tasting. Hope you enjoy as much as I did.

Fantastic view, but that's where it ends.

If you like a rustic style where maintenance is lacking, this might be the place for you. The first impression with a loose door handle immediately gave the impression of poor maintenance, and this matches well with the rest that greets you when you enter. The walls should have been painted; there are many stains, especially in the living room, bedroom, bathroom, and kitchen. In the bedroom, masking tape hangs down from the ceiling lamp, but it hasn't been painted in a long time; the tape is yellowed and old, which looks ugly. The kitchen has an unevenness with a loose cover over a hole in the floor, covered by a carpet, but be careful not to hurt your foot and trip or slip. The bathroom lacks maintenance; the shelf by the sink is loose, and the lighting is very dim. From the living room, there was a fantastic view of the river, and the location for tourist activities couldn't be better, but the glass door to the river is mechanically worn and needs maintenance as it is very hard to open. At night, you will be disturbed by a lot of noise from the boats idling at relatively high revs. This noise continued all night, making it impossible to sleep. One of our nights, we moved to The Editory House Ribeira Porto Hotel, a few blocks away. Here we could sleep without noise; we would probably have chosen this for the entire stay, as even the view cannot compensate for the inconvenience of the noise at night.

The apartment was centrally located off of the pier. It was large and spacious. It only had one restroom, I wish it had two. We stayed for a total of three nights, however, there was no type of Room service, meaning it would’ve been nice to have some new towels after the second day. We used the same towels, for three nights. There was three of us and they provided exactly 3 towels only. The apartment had a great view of the water and overlooking across to the Gaia district. It was conveniently walkable to pretty much everything. There is no lift/elevator Coming up and down four flights of stairs is a lot. If you have any type of mobility issues, this is not the place for you.

On y dort mais pas plus.

Le point positif est l’emplacement hyper central et pratique pour visiter Porto et la vue dégagée sur le Douro. Appartement propre mais aménagé de bric et de broc sans aucune âme. Pas de rideau dans la chambre avec vue directe sur les voisins Immeuble ancien donc aucune isolation phonique. Parquet propre mais tellement bruyant pour les locataires déjà je crains pour les voisins. Une vraie table basse serait appréciable tout comme une machine à expresso. Heureusement qu’il faisait beau pendant le séjour pour ne pas avoir à rester enfermé.
