“Nice property but it’s definitely seen better days. On the plus side, the apartment is spacious, has covered parking and has newer, well-functioning appliances. On the downside, the back porch floor was covered in water as there was an old seal in the window. The bathroom door/lock combo was hanging on by a single loose screw. One of the sliding doors wouldn’t lock properly so maintenance had to come and fix it. The hallways of the building are crumbling a bit and detract from the overall……

“If you want to be an easy walking distance to the market, the seaside, great restaurants, the cable car, etc., you cannot find a better apartment than this one in Zona Velma! It is a simple apartment that was comfortable and clean. Small kitchen for preparing simple meals. Sea view from kitchen window. Nice balcony with a pretty street view. I did not find the street very noisy. I would recommend this apartment for a great Funchal experience! ”

“We really enjoyed our stay at the rooftop apartment. The apartment was well equipped, clean and very comfortable. We found parking easy and the neighborhood quiet and peaceful. Of course, the view from the rooftop was phenomenal and it was satisfying to look out on the hills of Madeira that we had explored during the day. A huge bonus was that our host was very accommodating, patient and helpful with the check in process. I would highly recommend this place for your stay in Madeira!”
