Escape to tropical paradise at Casa Copacabana, a stunning 7,500 square foot oceanfront villa situated directly on the golden sands of Playa Potrero. With unobstructed beach views, 9 bedrooms, 11 bathrooms, and amenities galore, this is luxury coastal living at its finest.

Wake up each morning to sweeping views of the beautiful ocean from one of six oceanfront bedroom suites, each with its own private bathroom. Two suites feature spacious oceanfront patios and granite bars for relaxing and entertaining. In all, there are beds for 21 guests in this spacious villa.

The gourmet kitchen with granite countertops is primed for preparing family feasts. Sip cocktails on the outdoor patio bar off the kitchen while meals are prepared. After dinner, gather on the expansive oceanview terraces and lawn for games, conversations, and dazzling sunsets.

For aquatic adventures, a private beach gate leads directly to the sand and sea just steps away. Swim, kayak, or simply stroll along the gentle waves. Watch boats cruise in and out of the nearby Flamingo Marina.

Luxurious amenities abound, including a huge ocean view pool, light daily housekeeping service, and 2 of our staff members who will arrange everything from airport transfers (a 50 minute drive) to excursions, golf cart rentals and more. An in-house chef and masseuse can also be booked for an extra charge.

Casa Copacabana is walking distance to beachfront restaurants and markets. Just minutes away by car or golf cart are the towns of Flamingo and Brasilito for shopping, banking, dining, and activities.

This place had plenty of space to spread out for indoor board and card games. All the bedrooms were very clean and views were very nice. The house was just steps from the beach so easy to spend beach time, water play and just walking the beach.

We had an amazing stay. Having the beach literally in our backyard was incredible, and the property is absolutely stunning—exactly as described (if not better in person). Housekeeping and security were a huge bonus and made everything feel easy and safe. Most of all, we felt truly cared for by the owners; they were so accommodating and genuinely went above and beyond when a couple things went wrong. The only small note is the kitchen could be a bit better equipped, but if you’re hiring a chef it’s a non-issue. We’d absolutely stay here again and again, and highly recommend.

House is great! We loved the pool and the layout of the house. The beach is amazing with fine sand, minimal rocks and the warm water (82 degrees Fahrenheit) is very nice to swim and play in. A few of our guests were enjoying fishing off the beach. Lots of amazing bars, restaurants and activities within walking distance of the house. We had a lot of fun at this location.

Beautiful home! Our family celebration with 17 people had an amazing stay. Jimmy was so accommodating, Mercedes and Will were attentive wonderful at keeping both the inside and outside of our “home” clean. Kind and caring people!

Big Family Vacay

We were extremely pleased with the home during our stay. From our host Jimmy, the the lovely housekeeper Mercedes, the night guard and the owner Greg. They were all extra helpful with all of the planning, the local area, the beaches and of course the home. We had a big family vacation with 5 families totaling 19 people staying together at the home. We all had a fabulous time. The home was just as listed. Right in front of the beach, we got to enjoy daily magnificent sunsets. The pool was beautiful and the kids throughly enjoyed it. All the rooms were extremely spacious and we all had plenty of space to spread out. I would highly recommend this place to anyone wanting to visit Costa Rica. 5 stars all the way across! We will definitely be back! Pura Vida!

A Great Home to Accommodate a Large Group

Our family of 20 had a wonderful time in this lovely home. The bedrooms were large, the beds were comfortable and bathrooms were en suite for every room. The common spaces handled us nicely. There was plenty of room to enjoy meals together. We spent lots of time in the large, clean pool and also on the beach which is a few steps from the back door. The waves were great to play in, the beach was nice to walk on, and the surf fishing was good. This large, clean, centrally located house was perfect for our big family gathering.

Our family of 11 loved staying at Greg and Mackenzie’s property and we would stay again. They are kind and easy people to communicate with. The Yellowfin tour group that they recommend is out of this world. We did all of our transportation and tours through this group and had a great time. The tour group is responsive and so fun to work with. One of our favorites was the sunset cruise on the Rickdickulous fishing boat. The crew took such great care of us and we caught tuna and had sashimi fresh from the ocean. We had two chef dinners at home and Dona is an amazing chef with everyone loving her ceviche. Be prepared for leftovers. Mercedes, the daily housekeeper, was so kind and efficient. It felt like having an Auntie taking care of you. We enjoyed the pool and beach front access. Being able to walk to restaurants and the local brewery was key. There are so many positives and just a few items that brought down the star ratings. Jimmy the house manager was not as responsive as we would have liked. It would take him over 36 hours to respond to text messages. There was a problem with a leaking shower that never got fixed. The guests in that room had to shower elsewhere. Which was an inconvenience. He did bring beach chairs when asked but with the number of people in the house more chairs would have been appreciated. Overall a fantastic stay in a great house. Pure Vida

The house was spacious and provided amazing views of the ocean. We had plenty of room to spread out so the kids could do their thing without feeling like the adults were in their space. The pool was a great size and a fan favorite; based on observations from the beach, this was probably the largest pool around and was great for a group our size. The house came with everything we needed and was overall very comfortable. We chose to utilize the in home chef one night and it was by far the best meal of the week; wished we would have done it more than once. Just know the chef only takes cash so have plenty on hand. There are two callouts that anyone staying here should be aware of; the first is the construction. We are early risers so didn’t impact our sleep but there’s a house being built that’s literally attached to this one and the construction crew starts at 0600. If sleeping in is your thing on vacation, I’d confirm the house next door has been finished. The other callout is communication between property manager and renters; nothing huge but things to be prepped for. The housekeepers come at 0800; sleeping in is what you’re looking for ask for them to come later. The other is the security; one stayed in the garage and the other was often in the backyard. No issues with either but were big surprises we weren’t prepped for.Home is in a tourist area and prices are much higher, including optional grocery stocking. Good option but only get basic essentials.

Perfect place for our family of 14!

Loved this house and the great communication from the owner, transfer company, house manager, housekeeper, groundskeeper, night guard, excursion company and golf cart supplier! I'm in the travel business and having everything we needed just a What's App text away was great. The house is lovely. We ordered groceries for the week and they were waiting for us when we arrived. The first night we had a chef prepare our dinner and what a treat that was after a red eye flight. You can walk to several restaurants or if you've rented a golf cart or two drive those. No need to rent a car. The recommended excursion company offers transfers to and from the airport and to all the excursions. The black sand volcano sand beach was great. The kids loved being in the ocean every day. And we adults loved the huge pool. You'll love the huge kitchen and outdoor space.

Amazing week in paradise

We had an incredible stay at Casa Copacabana!!! We were a family of 16. Everyone had a comfortable bed and convenient bathrooms for each bedroom. But the best part of this property is outdoor space. The patio and pool were incredible for relaxing days and hanging out. We especially loved the bar and stools in the pool. The large outdoor table accomodated us all very nicely and what a treat to have an ice maker providing on demand ice! The fridge and bbq were well used. And if all of that isn't enough for you, a few steps across the yard and you are on the beach. Its incredible. Jimmy and Mercedes took such good care of us and met any questions or concerns that we had. Greg and Mackenzie are very gracious hosts and just want to ensure you enjoy your stay. If we ever find ourselves back in the Potrero area again we will definitely be staying here!

Great family vacation

Perfect location for us. We enjoyed every bit of our time spent here. The house is well equipped, the pool is wonderful. We could not have asked for more. There was more than enough space for our family is 12. Great restaurant choices within walking distance. Many nearby beaches, and we enjoyed the beach right outside our gate. Excellent choice.

Lovely property on beach that unfortunately adjoined a very active construction site

Check in went smoothly-soon found that hot water wasn't working, lights/fans, bathroom doors locked folks in vs out, some AC was freezing up and exterior keys did not work and the bottom of the dishwasher looked like a science project. Contacted the property manager and they had folks there the next day attending to the issues. Why wasn't this checked before a party of 11 checks in? Staff during the stay was attentive, polite and responsive. The property photos show a beautiful house next to treed area. In fact there is another house, in the very early stages of heavy construction, sharing a wall with the property. Before 6AM, the hammering and metal cutting began. It intensified during the day including equipment with back up horns.I contacted the owner and he seemed genuinely unaware of this. We moved from the master suite to a small bedroom off the pool on the other side. Family not so lucky. The owner asked the property manager to see if the crews could keep the noise down. Noise would sometimes diminish some and then start again throughout the stay. We had to often leave the pool area to get away from it. At around midpoint of our stay the owner offered to refund our money and have the property manager work with us to find other accommodations;this was not a good choice for a party of 11 with children, I advised we would tough it out but expected some adjustment.The offer conveyed by manager was frankly inadequate, with offensive terms relative to our review.

casa copa cabana, Pura Vida!

This home on Playa Potrero had everything we needed for our party of 13 adults and 4 boys, ages 5 to 8 to enjoy 8 days in Costa Rica. It was perfect to just walk outside the home and be on the beach, listening to the waves roll in was so relaxing. Greg the property manager was always quick to respond to emails and text messages. The chef was friendly and provided meals that were delicious. The housekeeping staff Mercedes and Doris were great, always smiling and friendly, iphone translator made it easy to communicate with them. Jimmy, who oversaw property maintenance was quick to respond to a repair that was needed. We had an air conditioner that was leaking water, this was quickly repaired. Big thanks to Dervin the concierge. He was great taking care of our transportation and tours we requested. He was always available to answer our transportation and tour questions for our group. Our driver Jose was friendly, fun and informative. Overall, a great trip with many fun memories. On our last night my 5-year-old grandson came to me and said grandpa I don't want to go home, so I said don't worry we will be back. Until then pura vida!

Our family of 8 adults and seven children thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Copacabana. The house was perfect for us with just the right number of rooms (especially with king-sized beds), a great kitchen, and wonderful outdoor patio and pool space that worked even in the rain. The housekeeping staff was very efficient and helpful and we hired the chef service for 5 days which was beyond our expectations of great food and presentation. we booked a tour to Rincon National Park and that was excellent as well. The road in front of the house and parking for more than 2 vehicles was a bit challenging, but we made it work. In all, a great family getaway in a friendly and beautiful country!!

Costa Rica 2024!

Wonderful property, perfect for our multi-generational family. Ana from Yellowfin Tours became our go between with staff, a big help and Google translate! Jimmy house manager was right on any issues! Mercedes and her crew kept us cleaned up and the pool guy was great! We used the recommended Chef for 3 nights, very good and very reasonable. We did rent the golf cars to get around town and to the restaurants and grocery. Sure beat the price of rental car we didn’t need, all our tours pick us up at the house! We would rent again. Thanks for the memories!

Overall condition of this property is… tired and needs a refresh. Mucho dirt, cobwebs viewable coming down stairs from bedrooms, door falling off kitchen cabinet, cooktop griddle not working, multiple underwater pool lights hanging off by wires, had to get door hinges oiled so they would stop waking people up at night, AC in bedroom sleeping 4 stopped working. Pictures show what looks like a hot tub. It has jets but no heat. Cook changed her mind and did not show up for a birthday meal. Wire in kitchen floor gives you a shock if you touch freezer door handle. Fountain in entry courtyard began to really stink. Very difficult to communicate with property manager prior to arrival. Also difficult during our stay with intermittent unresponsiveness for days/weeks. Cannot snorkel off the beach. On the good notes, location is great. View is amazing. Best actual pool in the neighborhood, great ice machine! Would come back but only for the pool. Ocean was pretty good for younger kids but not for babies.

Epic House & Beach Stay!

I absolutely loved my stay at this home. The house is immaculate and gorgeous and the location is perfect right on the beach. You can get right into the ocean from the home. Great Location

We had a wonderful stay at Casa Copacabana. The property manager, entire staff and owner were wonderful, helpful and quick to respond to anything we needed. The house is beautiful and was fantastic space for our large extended family with children ranging from 13-3. We loved the pool, yard, beach and the Hemingway’s that’s so close by! We miss Costa Rica already!
