"The room was clean and tidy and the owners were friendly. However, there were a few issues that detracted from the overall stay. First, the room smelled like cats which could be because there were three cat carriers in the closet. Second, the electrical outlets seemed improperly installed and did not easily work with the various chargers we needed to charge. Third, the photo used to identify the site was taken in a part of the house that we as guests did not even have access to so it seemed...

"We absolutely loved our stay here. It was charming, updated, quiet, and relaxing. The pictures don't do it justice. The host was responsive to our questions. It was sparkling clean, and a beautiful home! We were here for our son's graduation from West Point. It is a bit further away, but we planned accordingly. It was so nice to come here at the end of a long day and be able to relax and enjoy the surroundings. We highly recommend this VRBO."

"The home and property were the perfect place to spend Christmas. There were two bedrooms on the first floor and three more on the second floor. We had a wonderful time. I was able to bake and prepare many special meals and goodies. The host had a few beautiful decorations for the holiday which gave it a feeling of home. The Christmas tree farm behind the property was picturesque for the season and the neighbors had lights in their trees and around their home."

From the welcoming farmhand Scooter to show us around the property and letting us meet all the working farm animals, and the hospitality of Bill and Amy. The wood floors and rustic chic are outstanding, along with a prepared wood fire place ready to go and plenty of extra fire wood and kindling for each night of your stay. "This is a cozy property in a very rural setting. The host is extremely responsive and very thorough. It is quiet and private. The furniture and bed are very comfortable. The wood burning stove is a pellet stove which provides enough heat to take the edge off. The hot tub could comfortably fit 4 people. The Village of Cold Spring is less than 10 minutes away, as is the Interstate 84 bridge across the Hudson. If you want to make your own food, bring it. There is no grocery store nearby."
