“The view from this property was stunning and the host was good at communicating, even got send a hand book which was really helpful with everything in the house as well as local things we can do. Unfortunately we did come across a few things that were not up to our expectations like a lot of cobwebs, oven and kettle were quite unclean, we found one of the beds splintered and generally some of the furniture is due to be replaced. “We stayed here as a family of 19 for 2 nights over New Year ranging from age 5-70. It was good as we all had our own individual cottages with kitchens, living rooms and bathroom which gave us our own space but the communal area is the Hall was being enough when we wanted to be together. Only issue was the gas heaters and log burners not working properly in a couple of cottages but electric heaters were available and there is central heating in two of the cottages. “The property is spacious and beautiful in an idyllic setting. The gardens and pool were glorious and the sauna was a real plus. We were a large family group and all ages had a wonderful time. However the following impacted upon our stay. The house was really grubby on our arrival, particularly the kitchen, and did not seem to have been cleaned since the previous guests had left.
