Great stay!

Very nice hotel with a good breakfast buffet and an welcoming entrance. The staff there was very nice, I hoghly recommended and of you have time try their pools or spa options.

This is one of the worst rooms I’ve stayed in, As we entered the room it had a very bad smell to it, Shower cubicle is so tight you can’t even wash yourself without elbowing the sides. It was fairly hot and we needed the AC on, when we asked the reception to turn it on he refused because he needed to go in the cellar and do something that would make it work, absolutely pathetic. The worst part was the night sleep, As the air condition wasn’t on we had to open the roof window to let some cool air come in the room which resulted in us being bitten by mosquitos all night, the second night we kept the window closed and found bed bugs biting at us all night. 2 nights of disturbing sleep never staying here even if the room is free.

Lage sehr zentral, aber kein Luxus vorhanden.

Die Zimmer sind einfach aber in Ordnung, das Personal sehr freundlich. Mit dem PKW nur schwer zu erreichen, da in der Fussgängerzone mit eingeschränkter Fahrtzeit. Parkplätze am Hotel keine!

The staff was very helpful. We took a 2 euro train to Florence. Train station is only a minute away. Prato is also a great Tuscan city with plenty to see. A great place for evening eats and walks.

Highly recommended hotel

The service in this place was amazing. The people at the hotel are very helpful and super nice. Just the behavior of the hotel owners itself deserves full stars.They are so kind, nice and help you with everything. No matter if there is a question about how to find something, or how to order a taxi for you.The people working there was smiling and you felt welcomed and at home. Compared to other hotels it is a small hotel, which I personally find a good thing as it is easy to figure out where to go and not. The hotel includes free breakfast as well. I went there to go to a concert, and the concert was beside the hotel. So it is a must to check into this hotel if you are going to a concert in Piazza del Duomo. The hotel room as of course old fashioned, but it is super clean and comfy. So you can relax and not worry. I saw some review about it being a noisy area, I was there during the "music festival" so of course it was a little bit loud until 11 at night. But I do disagree, I slept great. The windows they have "blocks" a lot of the sounds from the outside. Another nice thing about the hotel is that it is close to whatever you want to do. No matter if it is going out for food or shopping etc. I highly recommend this hotel, and I hope this review make others people visit the hotel as well. Because they truly deserve it. If I ever traveled to Prato there would be no doubt that I would chose this hotel again.

Wonderful stay

Hotel Giordano is operated by this amazing family that manages everything. They were extremely helpful and sweet. Never missed a smile. Breakfast was small but good. Dont forget to try the croissants, they are delectable. Our family room was small but adequate. Beds were a little hard but this seems to be typical of Italy. Location is across from the duomo.

Hotellet viste seg utmerket som "base" for daglige besøk til Firenze, et av hovedmålene for reisen, med sine mange severdigheter og ekskursjonsmuligheter. Hotellet lå i et sjarmerende og klassisk småbyaktig område av Prato, med stort torg med katedral, samt små gater der vi flere ganger hadde glede av menyene til et par av de små (ute)restaurantene. En utmerket dagligvare-/delikatesseforretning like over torget var veldig "kjekk å ha" så lett tilgjengelig. En kort spasertur i motsatt retning brakte en til jernbanestasjonen, som var hyppig frekventert av tog til Firenze. På hotellet ble vi møtt av et vennlig og imøtekommende vertskap og rommet hadde alle de for oss essensielle fasiliteter, med en temperering og ro som sikret en god natts søvn. Frokosten var enkel, men hva mer behøvde en når bakverket med pålegg, kaffe, frisk juice etc. og kanskje avslutning med en (halv!) croissant, smakte utmerket.
