“Very old property with upgrades so you have to expect some issues. - small rooms narrow corridors no lift small shower. Bed was great undulating floors made you feel drunk but I don’t drink so…. Worst problem was lack of parking. And it’s a long way away”

“I stayed at the Blacksmith Arms for 1 night on the 6th July. I was advised by email the day before to say that there would be no-one there when I arrived via email. They sent instructions to obtain the key, the pub was closed and I was the only person staying there, I have since been advised that the pub was closed on Mondays & Tuesday’s. Had issues sorting the TV out and after a while realised the aerial was unplugged. No breakfast available and via email was advised of somewhere I could……

“Loved the location however bathroom very dated. Could not believe given how hot the weather has been it does not have a fridge hence waters provided became warm. Was told people complain about the noise however surely a fridge outway a slight noise.”

“It's a great location. Quiet, but near the shops and seafront. Very helpful staff and a comfortable room. Not a big room, but what you'd expect for a period property like this. The place itself is very stylish and well decorated.”

“Booked a ground floor room as difficulties with stairs. Not available when i arrived. So had to struggle to 1st floor.”

“I booked a room with seaview with the hope I can enjoy seaview in my hotel room. But then the room was facing other buildings. After some effort, I realised there was two inches seaview at the corner of the window. You need to make an effort in order to notice it! I think this is cheating. It’s a joke. ”

“There was plenty of parking and the room was adequate. The restaurant is permanently closed and we were not informed of this until we were sent an email 20 minutes before we arrived.”

“There was a golden wedding lunch party on the Saturday I stayed and one couple brought their dog which constantly yapped all afternoon when they left it outside in the garden. It did not make for a very relaxing afternoon reading on the terrace.”

“Very responsive and helpful communication. Canceled flights meant very late arrival and the directions that were given to get in were so clear and easy . Nice room with windows that open easily really clean. with a breakfast tray . But the location is so wonderful with coffee”

“Overall is above standard. The staff is nice and the room is clean. The hotel location is close to sightseeing spots and shopping mall. ”
