The rooms at the resort were very spacious and clean. Staff were friendly. Dining options were ok, however the quality of the food was not up to the level one would expect at this type of resort. Another lounge or drink area is needed. Because this resort is really out of the way, a shuttle service provided by the hotel would really improve the experience.

The quality of the food was very low. My husband and I had stomach aches every day from the food. I saw them bringing in gallons and gallons of what was probably GMO canola oil…. The food was also very salty to the point where I couldn’t eat a lot of it. The landscaping is beautifully done. The property and hotel is kept very clean and the pool was well maintained. The music was amazing. Loved their choice of music. We enjoyed the beach somewhat, although part of the beach is very busy with locals doing construction and a lot of boats for tours, which is not the most relaxing. The entertainment was good. the drinks were not too good…

We had a great stay. Rooms were comfortable and clean. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The food was only okay. Can’t complain I didn’t have to cook or clean up. The entertainment was really good but be prepared all the shows were over the top too loud. The location was amazing but make sure to use bug spray right away. Many mosquitoes and their bites are crazy itchy. Overall a beautiful resort, the staff make it the best I recommend checking it out.

Let me start by saying that the resort is beautiful, staff are very attentive, rooms are huge, views are beautiful. But, the issue is the food. Our group consisted of 3 couples who have all travelled extensively. Five out of six people got sick, 24 hours of vomiting and diarrhea. When I reported it to the front desk, the resort representative denied there could an issue with the food and said it was because we were from Canada and we were not used to their food. Not true, in my 15-20 trips to Mexico, I have never been sick. The next morning I was approached by the concierge and she was very attentive, concerned and offered assistance. She committed to discussing our issue with management. During our stay we talked with several guests and most people had been sick for 24 hours. The local people are aware of this and we’re not surprised when we said we were staying at the Barceló. We watched the food prep at the main buffet, cross contamination, ripped gloves, food sitting on co7 tears not refrigerated. Not surprised that we were sick. The Barcelo needs to do better.

Stayed here for 7 nights with family in presidential suite. Room was nice but out dated: Staff was nice but nothing exceptional about the customer service. Beach front property with a nice private beach. Pools are nice. THE FOOD…. now the food needs lots of improvement, LIKE MAJOR IMPROVEMENT!!! Buffet was horrible!! We tried all 4 of the restaurants and the only decent one was the Italian restaurant. Customer service at the restaurants was good and presentation was good but the food taste was below average, 2 Stars on food taste.

The location is wonderful but the resort is not great. Poor food handling practices gave all members of our party terrible guts throughout the trip. Overall, this stay was nice. The room was great, it was clean, welcome champagne & snacks were sweet. Generally, everyone was pretty nice. We did have an encounter with an extremely rude staff member that made my heart a little sad. This was my mom‘s first time at an all-inclusive and I was trying to show her how awesome it was. One of the nights, Friday November 28th 2025 at Capri, we were treated ruder than we’ve ever been treated at an all-inclusive resort, and I have been too many. I just couldn’t believe it. My son was a little late to dinner and she threw an absolute fit, even though I knew what he wanted to drink and what he wanted to order for food. It wouldn’t have held up the table at all & there were many other tables open & available at this time in the restaurant. She spoke down to us and I still am shocked by the rudeness. My mom had actually arrived to our reservation early, with my brother and Nephew, and they misunderstood the dress code and didn’t realize the boys had to be in pants. They sat out there waiting for 15 minutes for us to get there and the hostess who had clearly looked them over, didn’t even tell them that the boys needed to be wearing pants. She waited until she was ready to seat us (after her rude fit towards us) and then looked at them and said they can’t come in with shorts. Just sad. Food was good, though. I did miss pool side food service, and beach food, & drink service. But like I said, we had a nice time overall.

We loved the jungle scenery in the back ground all around the resort. Beach was nice, but it was small. But we knew that booking the resort. Food was mediocre. The restaurants were nice but the only buffet was limited and not anything to write home about. It says mismaloya is 17km outside of PV which it is but the road is windy so if you’re looking to go into PV a lot it’s quite the drive. Almost an hour to the airport. The swim up bar was in the kids pool for some reason seemed kinda backwards. Overall we had a nice stay but because of location and mediocre food we’ll probably stay back in Bucerias/PV area

Room was great.. servers were great.. could have used more selection of food at Buffet. Only allowed 3 a la carte meals for 7 night stay.
