Our property:
Villa Pura Vida PV is part of a private, small gated complex. There are 2 free-standing 5 bedroom homes in the complex as well as 3 villas which share one structure. Villa Pura Vida PV is the middle unit in the 3 villa structure - one per floor, and as shown has its own private entrance, private infinity pool, palapa bar and parking - no shared or common spaces.

To get to the villa, guests enter thru a private gate (access codes are provided at check-in). There is a somewhat steep driveway from the gate to the top of the driveway where the villas is located. Property entrances like this are common for places overlooking the Romantic Zone and Banderas Bay, as that's how you get these incredible views. Ubers & taxis are readily plentiful and used to hills and driveways. At the height of the rainy season (Aug to Sept), we can recommend experienced drivers who are most skilled at navigating the driveway if wet.

Location & Views:
Villa Pura Vida PV sits above Los Muertos Beach, Almar Resort, Mantamar Beach Club and Blue Chairs and features amazing nightly sunsets and many firework shows. The view is breathtaking and you can see across to Punta Mita to Sayulita to Nuevo Vallarta to the Romantic Zone all the way to the beginning of Conchas Chinas. It's truly one of the best and most expansive views in PV.

Fully air conditioned spaces:
The villa is fully air conditioned and features 7 split AC units with one in each bedroom and 4 others located throughout the main living area. There are also ceiling fans in each bedroom and additional fans throughout the villa living spaces. There is a wonderful cross breeze which runs thru the villa as the large double front door & all of the large glass doors on the side and patio area can be opened to enjoy the breeze.

The hosts:
Hello and welcome to Villa Pura Vida PV for your "Pure Life" experience at our villa. Myself and my co-host Michael live in San Diego and often in PV, so we are available for any questions or needs you have during your stay. In addition, our local team is available to support you during your stay.

Parking and transportation:
Private parking in front of the Villa for up to 4 vehicles. Taxis and Ubers are plentiful in the area and recommended for nighttime and for those who are not comfortable walking up/down hills.

Discounts:
Villa Pura Vida PV offers both weekly and monthly discounts for those looking for longer stays. VRBO will display the discounts as part of the overall price for the stay.

We'll ask you to complete a short form to help us get ready for your stay.

Community guidelines:
The Villa is in a quiet area of PV so it's important to respect the community guidelines, while still enjoying your stay. We appreciate it!

• No smoking or vaping in the Villa ($300 charge for extra cleaning if found)
• No parties or events
• No commercial photography without approval
• Quiet hours are from 11 pm to 8 am

Extra service costs provided by the Villa:
There's an extra fee of $50/night for the 7th guest which is calculated in the VRBO costs at the time of the booking.

Additional grocery shopping trips cost $500 pesos for each trip.

Optional pool heat costs $50/day outside of the high season (Dec to mid-April) where it's included in the rental price.

We try to accommodate requests for early check-in or late check out as best as we can depending on the Villa rental schedule. If available, we do not charge for arriving 2 hours early (1 pm check-in) or departing 2 hours late (1 pm check out). If requesting an earlier or later check-in/check out beyond this 2 hour window, please ask us for pricing as it will depend on the season and the number of additional hours needed for the stay.

Families with young children:
We have hosted many families with young children & infants, but it should be noted although there are secure railings around the patio and main bedroom, there are large gaps between the railings so caution is required. The pool is not gated, so families with young children should be aware of this potential risk. There are a few steps up to enter into the pool and several steps going down into the pool so caution is recommended.

Accessibility:
For those with mobility limitations, the villa is on one level and very roomy so easy to move around. The main bedroom and bathroom are quite large and spacious and the bathroom offers a large walk-in shower. The "Alexis" bathroom also has a walk-in shower, although smaller in size.

Large tourist vans and Sprinter vans will not fit under the covered driveway area so folks with mobility limitations using these type of van services will need to walk up/down or be wheel chaired up/down a short cobblestone paved area (15-20 feet) to reach the villa. Suburban type of vehicles will fit in the covered parking area along with typical Uber, Taxis & rental cars.
