Great House, communication could be better

The house was great, but it should be advertised as a 3 BR / 2 Bath. There was a 4th Br / 3rd bath, but the only way to get there was to go outside and up an outside staircase. It took a call to the realtor to figure this out since it is not noted anywhere. Our plan was to use this room for 2 adults and 2 small children, but that was not practical due to the separate entrance. It worked put OK since I was able to put my 2 teenage boys up there, but it would have been nice to know ahead of time. Other than that, the house, pool, location are all awesome. Quiet neighborhood with 10 PM quiet hours, so make sure that is what you are looking for.

Never Again

I was completely disappointed from the customer service to the cleanliness and upkeep of the house I rented. While the pictures on the VRBO were "accurate" , they certainly did not reflect upkeep of the home and pool, general preventative maintenance and cleaning that was needed....from sand in the pool from the filter and the paint peeling off the pool, cracks in the ceiling in the home, sliding doors sticking, torn screens, and dead ants/insects everywhere! My daughter's bed had dirty, not stained, buy dirty sheets on her bed. The worse part was trying to speak with someone at VACASA whether it was before or during my trip, was virtually impossible. When I finally spoke with Krystal in the Fort Myers VACASA office, I had someone who responded to my issues and tried to do what she could to help...please note that this was day 5 into my 6 day vacation. I will never again rent a home that VACASA manages.

Punta Gorda getaway with the family

My family & I travel quite often and realize not everything will be perfect but cleanliness is a must. The home itself is very nice as well as the waterfront view. Due to Covid-19 it was nearly impossible to reach someone prior to checking in. I like to speak with someone in advance to prep for my trip. I was on hold for the properties management company Vacasa for over 2 hours on multiple occasions and couldn't reach anyone. Upon arrival we did an overview of the place to access any prior issues. We found soiled kitchen towels,rags,and dirty droors and dishes. The one droor had someones face pad cleaner in it. The couch had crumbs and deep stains on it. Towels in the master bedroom were also folded while still wet & the spa tub uncleaned. The grill in the Lanai was also dirty,and the trash in the garage hadn't been cleaned. Watch for black ant type bugs near the room closest to the grill too. The positives,the management staff once reached as there was a # different than the one to the public was very helpful. Crystal, the manager sent a cleaner out to fix everything & a very minimal amount was taken off for the cleaning fee. The lady who came out definitely cared,she felt embarrassed by her workers and apologized while cleaning the grill & all the items listed. The pool guy comes on Wednesday and noticed the chlorine hadn't been serviced as the level was extremely low. There is a separate bedroom upstairs,if your left in the dark like we were you will not know where to find the key for it as it was locked. The key is over by the table with all of the business cards and note with service times for landscapers etc. The house is very comfortable outside of those things,the master bedroom has a very comfortable bed too. Be mindful of the neighbors if you have children in the pool area. 10pm- 8am are quiet time hours. Take away,very nice house,responsive management team once reached & lastly just needs some upkeep.

Wonderful home for extended family with beautiful pool and view.

The pool was enjoyed by the entire family and made the hot, humid weather much more tolerable. The bedrooms were comfortable and fit the needs of our us, two adult sons, wives, and one grandchild. We would recommend for families.

Attention

It was a beautiful home though needs attention. Hot water issues but day 3 good it fixed. Cockroaches all over the house obviously a nest somewhere in the kitchen near the dishwasher. The front door needs attention as you can easily get in. Garage door spring broke but I’m sure will get fixed. Over beautiful home.

Good house for large family

Gorgeous house with a gorgeous view

This house is beautiful. We enjoyed our stay very much. We are a family of eight and finding a house that could allow us to space out for a reasonable price was a challenge. This house fit the bill for us. We loved the views and hanging out by the pool. The house was clean and the beds comfortable. The view was great to wake up to. Based on notes around the house about noise, I was nervous since we have 6 kids who like to play in the pool. We were not at the house much in the evenings so we didn't have any issues. If we had been home, this would have been a bigger worry for me. Overall, this is a perfect home for a family looking for a quiet getaway on the water.

Disappointed

The outside fan by the pool was not functioning. Two panels of the screened lanai were ripped open, letting many, many insects in the pool area. The pill area, therefore, had many bugs in the pool and on the patio. The cookware was old and the non-stick surface was badly scratched making it unsafe to use. The fourth bedroom was upstairs but only accessible by an outside staircase that required you to walk through grass on small patio stones to get to. There was no curtain on the bedroom glass doors which faced the pool area and canal. The upstairs cable TV wasn’t working. There was no garage door opener or code for the keypad given. The house is otherwise in a very nice neighborhood and the view on the canal is very pretty.

Weekend on the Gulf Coast

We really enjoyed our long weekend stay at Burnt Store Isles. The place was spacious, well maintained, and equipped with everything we needed. We enjoyed cooling off in the pool and grilling/eating on the patio. My son had a good time catching a couple of catfish in the canal off the back of the property. The town of Punta Gorda was nice and we enjoyed some good dinner and entertainment downtown and at Fisherman's Village.

Spacious, lovely home!

House was clean, comfy and wonderfully furnished. My family used every corner of the place. Garage was stocked with umbrellas and beach supplies. There were plenty of games in the family room. There were even spices for cooking in the pantry! Exceptional quality and style!

Great house

The house was perfect for our family of 4. The beds are so comfortable it’s like sleeping on a cloud. If I had to complain about anything you have to drive at least 20-30 min for anything. Like good restaurants. Beach is about an hour.

Lots of room to spread out

It was just as the pictures portrayed it to be. It was a little too cool outside for our stay. The ocean temp was only 62°. The house was lovely except a bit far away fro. Where we wanted to be. We usually stay fort Myers, bonita springs area, so we did a bit more driving to get to where we wanted to shop and eat.

Our month vacation in Punta Gorda

This house is in a very safe neighborhood. It worked so well for my children and their families that came in and out throughout our stay there. I would definitely go back, I miss it already.

Poor management

House was not clean, had late arrival, bed wasn’t made. Had to make bed at 11:00pm. Hair & toothpaste in sink, hair all over floor. Other bedroom had bugs on bed spread & in bathroom. Dishes were dirty. Garage was full of garbage & smelled like smoke. The positives, the house is just like pictures & pool was great.

Spacious house

Our family recently stayed with 5 kids , neighbor wasn’t thrilled with kids being loud , she even came over to let us know . House over all is equipped with everything you may need . Not sure if was outside or bed inside master but me and another mom had very bad bug bites and it’s screened so wasn’t mosquitos . Publix is very near by and a Walgreens. Beach probably about an hour away as well.
