“Excellent! The owners are nice and gentle. Wake up with the sound of birds and look toucans, hummimbirds and a listen a cockcrow far away... Breakfast was amazing and tasty. Yummy! Clean an comfort room. ”

“Stunning location on clifftop with 120 ocean view, 24/7 surf sounds. Quiet, full morning birdsong; helpful caretaker. Difficult to access; beautiful, rustic, one-of-a-kind cabin has small kitchen and detached, hot-water shower. A relic of Montezuma's early years, without the recent, "international style."”

“The property is a casita (mother-in-law apartment) within the gated property of the host. They have an additional rental. I liked that we were living like the locals do. The Casita is simple with a fantastic balcony. The hosts were wonderful although only the husband speaks English so communication once there was challenging. The Casita has a well equipped kitchen with a normal sized refrigerator and freezer. There is a gas burner but no toaster. One significant quirk was that the floor was not……

“Perched on our piece of the cliff, we heard the howlers, watched the clouds, and swam in the pool to the sounds of the sea.This place is as close to heaven as one can get!”

“Très bel endroit proche de la mer. La maison est très bien. Seul bémol, il y a des animaux dans les murs de la chambre qui font du bruit la nuit. Pour les dormeurs sensibles, il faut des bouchons dans les oreilles pour ne pas entendre les bruits. On ne sait pas quels sont les animaux dans le mur (lézard, chauffe-souris ???) on comprend qu'au Costa Rica, il y a des animaux et que ce n'est pas simple d'empêcher ceux-ci de faire leur nid ! Mais ce serait super d'empêcher ceux-ci de loger avec nous!……

“This is a beautiful property. It was clean, well maintained and had everything you needed in the kitchen. Saw Scarlet Macaws everyday and monkeys came through several times. The beach is a runner or walkers paradise. The firm sand goes on for miles. And the host.......Sonia went way above the call when we had issues with tickets online she stepped in and took care of the issue. If I could give her 10 stars I would. Pura Vida!”

“Mike and Elizabeth's home exceeded all of our expectation. The house itself was well appointed and comfortable. The AC was cold the view of the coastline breathtaking and who doesn't like to have monkeys in your back yard. The house sits on a quiet mountaintop which is easily accessible. Mike has created a jungle paradise with well maintained trial that he is happy to show you. They both could not be more welcoming and his knowledge of the areas flora and fauna is amazing. They hosted my family……

“We loved our stay!! Beach is 5 minutes away and this is up on a mountain so you have amazing views. Sunsets and ocean view were so gorgeous that my partner proposed right on our balcony!!! Our hosts stayed at another cabina onsite and were SO SO SO helpful. Coordinated a lot of activities for us. The view is unbeatable and it’s very quiet. Local feeling, not a touristy area. Really lived Pura Vida in these cabinas. And the shared pool was perfect and overlooks the ocean. Please note you……

“Host was very responsive. Waze and Maps took us on a long rocky road to get there. Host provided Better directions after we arrived. Very plain Jane. Could have used instructions for shower hot water, propane stove, and washing machine. Also wished for a couple of comfortable patio chairs. Hammocks were nice.”

“This place was great. Extremely close to the cloud forest reserve. The property manager went above and beyond. We got a home made breakfast brought to us every morning that was delicious. She arranged adventures for us to partake in nearby and followed up when a shuttle didn't arrive as previously scheduled. We had a wonderful experience at this property and highly recommend booking with Christina and supporting a Costa Rican if you are visiting Monteverde!!! You won't be disappointed.”
