Cozy comfortable hotel in the center of Quito

Cozy hotel in the historical center. Relatively simple accommodations but comfortable, with a good breakfast and a very warm staff. Top floor has a nice open veranda overlooking the west side of Quito and an enclosed "living room" to hang out. Would definitely stay there again!

We spent 6 nights at Hotel Casa Gardenia. The staff made our stay so easy and convenient. Rooms were very nice, view from the lounge on the top floor was amazing and the location in Old Town made it very easy to get to sites.

I loved my stay at Casa Gardenia. Location was very convenient to restaurants. I felt safe walking at night to go out to dinner. The hotel was multi level and had a great view of the city on the 3rd floor. Breakfast was good with bread, fruits and eggs. Staff was very nice. I would stay here again.

We had an excellent two-night stay. We had two rooms for the four of us, and both were clean, quiet, and comfortable. We enjoyed the mix of old and new in the building's construction. The staff was very friendly and helpful. We'll stay here again when we pass through Quito on our way home from the Galapagos.

Great Spot in Old Quito

Our stay was exceptional and I would return in a minute. Breakfast was superb with matching service. The front desk went out of the way to provide us with a map, directions and advice for restaurants and safety. The hotel has great night time views. Highly recommended!!!

We loved our stay! The bed is comfortable, the staff are exceptional, and the breakfast was the perfect start to our day. I particularly liked that the hotel reached out to see if I wanted to set up an airport pickup. I did and we really liked our driver Freddy. We ended up taking a day trip with him the next day. This property was perfect for our stay at Quito, however, I have to note the walls were quite thin. Regardless, we would come back!

Little gem in the clouds

Been here a few times . Great staff and friendly owners. The best view of Quito you can find. Cute hotel in a quaint area of town. Everything you want to do is only blocks away. The new metro in three blocks from the hotel and fantastic. Need anything just ask the owners they are always around and extremely helpful and speak perfect English. If I had one complaint it’s that for us low landers it’s even higher then old town Quito and can make altitude issues for some of us pretty tough. I would suggest they have coca leaf tea available 24/7 and maybe even a basket of coca leaves to chew on. They really help. Besides that it’s a sweet spot.

We loved Casa Gardenia, especially the kindness and friendliness of the family proprietors. We had a morning checkout prior to a midnight flight back to the US, but when I felt ill later (altitude plus maybe some suspect shrimp at dinner), they lent me a room, gratis, to lie down in all afternoon while the others went out in search of the Basilica and artisanal chocolate. Throughout our stays (we were here two weeks earlier on our way to the Galapagos), they were friendly, welcoming, and helpful. Before our arrival, they offered to arrange for transport to and from the airport, and our taxi driver was both friendly and totally reliable. The hotel itself is an attractive mixture of a newer interior in the partial shell of an older building, with views over the historic part of Quito from an open-air deck and the breakfast area. They serve a generous breakfast: fresh fruit, eggs, juice, rolls, and a side plate with olives, ham, and cheese. Cereal and milk are available, and of course coffee and tea. We would absolutely stay there again if we revisit Quito.

The staff are so kind and accommodating. We had to leave early one morning and they packed us a breakfast to go. They provide a nice map of historic Quito which is easily walkable from the hotel and safe. Loved our stay!

Wonderful little place.

This place is amazing, but most importantly, the host, Andres, and his staff all do everything they can to make your stay great. Good showers, comfortable beds, great breakfast. One of the best smaller places I have ever stayed at. Would recommend. Hard to find- only a small sign on the door.

An Architectural Gem in Quito

This BnB is a real find in the Historic Center. It is an architectural gem with stunning views. The people could not be nicer, even at 4:45 am when they arranged a taxi pick me up. Restaurant suggestions were also excellent.

Hotel is in a great location. Owner was wonderful. We felt very welcomed! Only thing I had to get used to was the noise of the buses that passed by and rattle the windows, At first, I thought it was an earthquake.

Beautiful property with rooftop patio!

Incredible stay, beautiful property. The rooftop sitting area has incredible city vistas, great for coffee or wine in the evening . Andres was such a considerate host. He even let us check out very late as we had a midnight flight out. Really good breakfast, fresh fruit, eggs, juice and range of bread /pastries.
