"Do not stay in room 12 a trapdoor above the bed taped shut ? The whole place is tired and while not actually dirty I have nothing good to say about it. I was way too tired to switch hotels . However I wish I had not wasted my time there. Room also did not have dead bold on door. Styrofoam coffee cups - so trashy"

"I arrived very late but still got successfully checked in! Very quiet environment. Tesla supercharger is just right at the corner!"

"The convenience of the tents and cots already being up and ready-to-go is great however, inside the tent was dirty. The concrete floor hadn’t been swept, the walls of the tent were dirty with accumulated dirt, dust, and hair. The bed had mouse droppings on it when we arrived. We get we were camping but when paying for a ready-to-go tent, we did expect it to be clean. The site was adequate and came with a fire pit and picnic table. The restrooms were close by but they too need some attention. The women’s restroom had a lot of spiders, mostly daddy long legs but also a wolf spider. I went in and knocked down all the spider webs as they were surrounding the toilets but they were back within a couple hours. The sinks were covered in dirty underwear and trash people left behind. It did eventually get cleaned the next day. There is a separate outhouse with a flushable toilet that was much cleaner. The staff were nice at the general store and restaurant. Fuel prices were the most reasonable in Death Valley. The general store offers ice and firewood. The restaurant offers a variety of dishes."

"We traveled with our dog and the yard was perfect. Comfortable home and definitely appreciated the choice of 3 coffee machines. Easy access/short drive to hikes in the Alabama hills. "

"We truly appreciated the friendliness and flexibility of the host in accommodating our early check-in and late checkout requests. it made our trip much easier. The house was very clean and well maintained. Having reliable air conditioning and washer and dryer available made our stay incredibly comfortable. Well, the futon in the living room is a nice addition to the space. We did find it a bit uncomfortable for an adult to sleep on, though it would likely be perfectly fine for a child. We also noticed that it can get a little noisy being so close to the main road, but it was not a major issue for SOS. We were pleased with the accommodations and look forward to booking with you again next year."

"This was one of the best hotels I have stayed at in a while. We attended the annual Manzanar gathering and needed to bring our 3 small dogs as we did not have anyone to watch them. The staff was so friendly upon check in and asked if we wanted treats for our pets. they gave me three doggie treat bags wrapped in paw print cellophane which was so cute. Their breakfast is amazing. Full breakfast with scrambled eggs, potatoes, sausages, cereals, muffins, and the best part was they had a automated pancake machine! so cool! Ice machine worked great and they even had a little laundry room if you needed to wash clothes. Will definitely book again next year!"

"Wonderful property that is located at the back of the block giving great views of the Sierras. Jennifer keeps the place in great condition, super clean and she's great with communication. If you're coming to view the Alabama hills, this is a great launch point."
