Stayed for one night but the pub was charming, clean and with attentive staff. Ate dinner in the restaurant in the evening and their sticky toffee pudding was one of the best I have had

This is a lovely boutique hotel with lots of character! Deco is beautiful and unique. Lovely staff and a yummy (free) breakfast. I would definitely stay here again.

Fantastic staff, funny, caring, felt very welcomed. Large bedroom and bathroom. Food outstanding for dinner and breakfast. Don’t want to criticise so just suggestions, new blind in bathroom as difficult to drop down, heating needed in bathroom and fix leaking shower tray but it was minor consideration so many amazing points. Location was fab, lovely feel to pub and loved the vintage signs and decorations. Great variety of drinks and locals really friendly too. Although it was very cold we peaked outside and so much space there to enjoy in better weather. Veggie pizza and curry was fantastic and very nice to see lots of variety and flavour. Very reasonable priced too.

Great place to stay. Very convenient for where I needed to be. The staff are just lovely and even changed my room on check in when I said I needed to work so that I had a bigger desk. Very comfortable and delicious dinner.

Lovely place to stay. Staff very helpful. Very clean . Only issue for myself we had room 6 that was situated on the very top floor which included lots of steps . Bed very comfortable. Breakfast plentiful and lovely. Coldnt fault it really . Will definitely rebook.

Pub was good, food good but a bit slow with the breakfast (1/2 hour ) Cold tap in the room ran hot for quite a while & the shower needs fixing as it leaks badly around the door. Not much else really but a lovely stay ta. Oh there was a broken bottle in the car park on arrival but I swept that up & put it in a safe place.

Great place
The room was clean, bathroom also clean. The young ladies by the reception and bar were quite friendly and professional. I would definitely recommend this place to anyone.

The upgraded room was very nice thou above kitchen was very hot in room. The room very nice big bed comfortable. The tea and coffee was not refilled on the second day. The place under staffed and or just dis organised. No salt and pepper on table for dinner. Just needs more staff and more staff training. The staff very nice but had to wait a long time for the meal and it stated if you Gluteen intolerent please ask staff. The choice for Gluteen free could have been better and alternatives given. Many gluteen free choices not on. Would go back, just needs time to delevop. Is new I guess.

Room was comfortable but very small and included a very small en-suite.Unfortunately breakfast is not available until 0830 and they are unable to leave any cold milk out for a cereal. This is too late for a business start. Food in the restaurant was very good

We liked the pub but the toilets in bar are really bad , I mean dirty and our room was dirty they need to get this sorted as let’s just he place down . It should be spotless . The bed was big and comfortable,staff nice . But really need a new cleaner

Stayed for the week in a king unsuite snug. Not much space around the bed or unsuite. The double bed comfort rooms are much bigger and would have made the stay more pleasant. Staff were great, food was lovely and car parking spaces. Wifi was good downstairs but poor in my room

We stayed over the Bank Holiday weekend as we were visiting family. A good location for getting to and from Bath; comfortable room and good food. The staff were very friendly.

Stayed in the superior suit, which was very nice, good quality bedding, it was a good size room with a lovely roll top bath, plenty of hot water. Had a fantastic meal with very friendly and accommodating staff. Would definitely stay again.

Rooms were lovely, beds really comfy, food and breakfast delicious, staff friendly. Very disappointed that our rooms weren’t serviced but we received a discount for this. Also a bottle of water was removed because of single occupancy even though there was no reduction in cost which seemed mean. Generally a lovely place to stay but I think staff need more training and there needs to be a bit more attention to detail

Disappointing overall but lovely staff & comfy bed
Mixed. Staff very friendly and welcoming. Bed was very comfortable. Furnishings was nice. Unfortunately the negatives outweighed the few positives though. No wardrobe or draws to empty our suitcase into and no suitcase stand. Ok for an overnight but not so good for 3 nights. Carpet was clean but was stained in a few places. Shower cubicle had gaps in the sealant at the bottom and the evidence of black mould suggests this has been a problem for some time. A party was held on our second night and the noise was a little excessive but did finish around 11pm. However, the attenders were disrespectful when leaving and there was a lot of noise and arguing which woke my 4yr old son. But worse still was to come when the staff proceeded to reset the dining/pub furniture by dragging the tables across the floors. This was at midnight and made a horrendous noise, again waking my son from his slumber. If I had been informed prior to my stay that a party would be taking place late into the evening I would have cancelled my booking and claimed a refund. The following morning, a little tired from the nights disturbances, we went to breakfast only to be told the chef was late. They finally arrived some 2hrs later. This completely ruined my days schedule. The following morning, despite being the first to order breskfast, it took more thsn an hour to arrive at our table. It's not eady to kerp a hungry 4yr old entertained for so long teo mornings running. So overall my impression is a negative.
