“Ideal, 30 min drive from CPT airport. Security on gate present all night for late arrivals, so fine to get in late if flight delayed. Breakfast very good, restaurant in grounds amazing and great value. Rooms a bit dated but comfy large beds so no problem sleeping. A great bar for arrival for a few nights in exploring the Stellenbosch area. Will book again !”

“We had a lovely stay at Acara. The host was a joy to converse with and very accommodating. The location was excellent and made it easy to visit many vineyards, beaches, and shopping in the surrounding area. The views of the mountains, vineyards, and horses from our cottage were also a highlight. We look forward to visiting again! ”

“For a 1 star hotel , the service is better than a lot of 3 stars The staff at front desk is amazing and very helpful We stayed with my whole family and my mom had her flight cancelled and had to stay at the hotel by herself not speaking the language I left all instructions at the hotel and they followed every instruction perfectly I am very grateful to the hotel and the staff ”

“If you're looking for somewhere to sleep for the night, this is a great value for the money. If you're looking for comfort, maybe spend a little more. The rooms are cramped and the window is TINY. There are no good views, or elevators, however, the staff are always friendly and the parking is safe. ”

“The hotel location was safe and quiet. The hotel itself was modern witb a gym and pool, very clean and amenities. The staff were very curteous and friendly wirh prompt response. The breakfast is buffet with great and varied options. The spa..massage is something to definitely soak into The hotel is family friendly, we stayed for a week and enjoyed it. We would go back in a heart beat!! It offers an amazing experience at an affordable cost”

“Staff were polite, quick to respond to any queries and very helpful. The surrounding area is beautiful and the place itself were kept in great condition. Our rooms were lovely and clean. We made use of the pool and the gym and we were very happy with both facilities (maybe some boxing gloves/focus mitts/boxing punch bag could be added in the future :) Overall; our stay was prefect and we will definitely stay there again when we are back in SA!”

“Comfortable bed, spacious room and very friendly & competent staff. The location, on a walking distance to the city center of Stellenbosch, is also perfect. Only negative: the pool is a bit smaller than on the pictures, you can't swim a lap in there. Also had some problems with the AC.”

“Beat all of our expectations, and they were pretty high from reading the reviews! Accommodation is brilliant and has all amenities we could wish for. Great breakfast and we tried the lunch here last day, also superb. But the by far best thing was the staff. We were made to feel super-welcome and got great recommendations for dinners, winetasting and trekking. I've had the pleasure of travelling to some amazing places, oftwn combining work with some holiday - from South america, all over Asia,……

I would highly recommend for its charm, location and staff. Satori Restaurant 5-10min walk down street is Amazing food and service (ask for Shantell). Highly recommend!”
