“This is the best cabin we have ever stayed in. location is beautiful, the inside is beautiful, very clean, and the king size bed is very comfortable. I will continue to book this in the future. We might even book another trip next month!! The hot tub was hot and also clean. We came with our adult friends and it was perfect, I am excited to come back with our teen kids and do some fishing and exploring more. This cabin is also much bigger than it looks in the pictures :) Great stay and GREAT……

“We’ve been coming to Davis for a long time but this was our first time staying in Black Bear. The Bear Lair was perfect for our stay. Clean, well decorated, well equipped kitchen, very comfortable beds, and plenty of firewood. The central location was great as we bounced between Dolly Sods, Timberline, White Grass and downtown Davis. Abby was super responsive and accommodating. We definitely plan to return. ”

“The house was exactly like the listing mentioned. I loved the clean and simple home with the wooden animal decor. The home and outdoor area have a lot to offer. We loved the pool table, railroad tracks and river. The spiral staircase was loved by the kids, the only challenge was when we brought our luggage up or down the steps (but it is manageable). The driveway, as mentioned in the listing, was very long and steep and luckily we did not have any snow we had to drive in. Since it was a shared……

“Probably one of the nicest places we’ve ever stayed. Clean, great location, peaceful, and the host even decorated for the holidays. The only iffy part of the experience was that the water left a bit of a residue, almost like the soap never fully rinsed off when washing your hands. Not really a complaint but if anyone else stays and experiences this know it’s likely just a water softener and not something gross or scary. ”

“This cabin has been one of my favorite stays and I've been coming to Snowshoe regularly for 15 years. Very secluded and cozy cabin with amazing mountain views. Modern entertainment inside. The fireplace out on the deck is a great place to relax. Kitchen has everything you need to cook whatever you want. Communication with the host, as well as check in/checkout went very smooth. Fully stocked Dollar General and gas station roughly 12-15min. away.”
