About this property

Log Cabin Getaway in the RRG.



  • Enjoy the peace, quiet and security of a log cabin with all the amenities of home along with lots of privacy. Whippoorwill Ridge is a hand hewn log cabin nestled in the mountains of Eastern KY. The cabin features a gorgeous hand built fireplace and chimney of sandstone which was quarried nearby. There is one bedroom and a loft area partially overlooking the living room.  There is a passageway, but no door between the bedroom and the loft area.  The loft area has a queen bed, and a small balcony which is ideal for watching the sunset. There is a sleeper sofa in the living room. and the kitchen is fully equipped. The large wraparound porch is an ideal gathering place especially during a rain. There is a fire ring in the back yard and even a wood shed if you get mesmerized by the fire and the weather changes. Soak in the hot tub after a hike around the Gorge.  We are just 25 minutes from Natural Bridge and the Red River Gorge Geological Area. Enjoy the beauty of the area in a drive or a hike and come back to a cozy evening in our home.  

    -Check-in is anytime after 5 PM (early check-in of 3 PM is available for $35)
    -Check-out is 10 AM (late check out of 12PM is available for $35)
    -Pets are allowed: $75/pet for the entire stay (We ask that pets are kept off of beds, bedding and furniture. Pets must be accompanied at all times or crated if left in the cabin alone)
