“We had an absolute amazing time at this cabin. Not only was it very clean but they used labels to help you find out which light switches turned on what and where things went so we could easily find/use whatever we needed in the cabin. There was only one dish towel but the other linens provided were fine. Only suggestion would be more dishtowels. The beds were comfortable, so was the couch! We loved our stay!”

“My wife and I, along with another couple, loved our stay at Poe's Mountain. The place was very clean, check-in/check out were super easy, and Brian was very responsive. He also provided us with some great info on places to eat (Shawn's BBQ in Culpepper was delicious). We enjoyed sitting on the deck both morning and evening listening and watching the birds. We were even awakened one morning by a male wild turkey gobbling away outside our bedroom window with his female entourage following him. So……

“This cabin has an amazing view! I loved sitting on the porch looking out over the valley. Lots of great bird and animal watching. The property needs some T.L.C. There was more random trash on the property and needed landscaping than I was expecting. It took away from the overall experience, but was still a nice stay.”

We had a large family gathering here, and my family had such a wonderful time - whether we were sitting together on the deck, eating around the large table, enjoying the hot tub, or sitting and talking in the living room on the large and comfortable couch, it all was amazing. “My husband and I enjoyed a weekend at the cabin. We found it clean, comfortable and well equipped. We brought food and didn't feel the need to drive anywhere. We popped a bottle of wine and grilled steaks on the charcoal grill. Caution it is a very small grill. The road to the house and driveway were a bit daunting and I was grateful we arrived during daylight. Quite steep. I'd be cautious arriving or leaving in the dark. We explored the mountain and got some exercise by walking up to the top……

“Everything was good except for the garbage that we left in the trash cans outside, since every morning it was all thrown away and the trash cans on the ground, it is said that there are bears in that area, but we were always organized when collecting the garbage and every morning we had to pick it up from the floor, other than that everything was okay.”

“A very quiet and relaxing stay. Loved going for walks with my dog and not seeing another person or car around. Could use a new shower curtain as it had mildew on the bottom which was gross. Towels are quite thin. Bring soap for the shower. Kitchen has all the essentials. Couches and beds are comfy. Enough blankets for a cozy sleep. Overall a great stay and would recommend this house to others.”

“I recently had the pleasure of staying at this property and it was an absolute delight! Our group consisted of 20 people, including two dogs, and the experience exceeded our expectations in every way. The house itself was spacious, providing ample room for our large group. “6 adults just spent a relaxing weekend here. House was quiet, very clean, well-stocked with coffee, teas, soap, house slippers, and all the basic necessities. We enjoyed the cozy fireplace (host even provided Duraflame), beautiful mountain views from the patio, and saw many bright stars at night. Be careful if driving at night as it is a steep winding climb up the mountain. The hosts were very easy to communicate with, provided restaurant tips, and clear instructions on how to use everything in……
