“My wife really liked the rustic feel of the place and was impressed with how clean it was at the same time. For me, it felt like a retirement property that I’d had for years, it was very welcoming. We didn’t take advantage of the water (kayaks, fishing, etc..) but we had friends over and used the grill to cook. We’d take our dogs outside in the back of the house and there was never any problem. “Absolutely perfect rental home and process. All amenities and AC worked flawlessly and communication was clear and accurate. We enjoyed the weekend with plenty to do in town. The beds were extremely comfortable and the kitchen was spacious. The outdoor fire and bbq area is well kept and has room to spread out. Would highly recommend and will return! ”

“You can tell Jill really loves this place and it is a cozy little retreat. Be warned there is no internet or cable. There are some tv channels but many don't come in well. There is cell service. That said, it is so cute!! There are so many antiques inside and out to look at. The two cats are adorable. The donkey is so friendly and feeding him carrots was a highlight. The only reason I didn't give this a 5 star rating on cleanliness was that it could use a deep clean and sone upgrade on the……

“The Dufour House was the perfect house for us! As sisters, we wanted to stay together and the house had everything we needed and more. We spent time on the back porch talking and enjoyed walking to coffee shops and restaurants that were minutes away. We were intrigued by the history of the house and the community. So much nicer than staying at a traditional hotel.”
