A lovely home. The king bed was comfortable, but the other beds not so much. Kitchen was pretty well stocked for cooking meals. Really enjoyed the hummingbirds on the back porch. Of course the best aspect of this house is the location on the river. Kept the 6 year old entertained for hours and we even caught a couple of fish!

Rocky Top on the Rio

This property is absolutely beautiful inside and out! The river runs right off of the deck in the back. So peaceful and calm. Our family loved it and would stay there again.

We loved our stay at this beautiful cabin. It was spacious, clean, and in the perfect location. Close to town but it felt like you were in your own world due to the privacy. We will definitely be back!

Red River family Christmas

We had a great time! The house was exactly what we were looking for. We had plenty of room for 7 adults and a baby. The Christmas tree and decorated fireplace mantle made us feel like we were at home.

Ski vacation

Awesome cabin with a great location. We loved being a little further up the mountain and away from town. The cabin had plenty of room for our family of five. We had another family of four come over one night to watch football and cook burgers and it never felt crowded. I would highly recommend staying at "Rocky Top Rio", you will not be disappointed!

The property is in a beautiful location and has a good floor plan for staying with family. Unfortunately the property doesn’t seem to have recieved great routine maintenance over the years. We had issues with the following.Propane fire pit outside didn’t work Light bulbs were out and not uniform Hummingbird feeders empty/broken Something is dead under deck - smelled badPorch fence is broken near grillPropane grill is falling apart and rustedDog poop left from previous stay Screen windows are broken or missing (no ac)Blinds are dirty and never cleaned Garbage disposal was smelling and full

A White Christmas

The Cabin is beautiful and set in a gorgeous location. They actually set up a Christmas tree for us and because we were getting in very late, lights were on and tree lite. Wonderful week here.

Great family experience

Loved the property and the cabin .. My only issue is the property is best for 6 people and not 8.. The pull out couch is in the utility room with the water heater so it’s not very quiet and the pull out bed is extremely uncomfortable for 2 people .. besides the utility room/ bedroom it is a great place to stay ..

Awesome stay!!

We loved everything about Rocky Top Rio! Everything worked great and the location was fantastic. To top it off, it snowed several inches while we were there. Absolutely beautiful! Mr. Newton himself brought us firewood and we loved the fireplace. Christie at Swan Realty was great at answering all of our questions during our stay. We will definitely be back!

Serene

I grew up going to Red River and have stayed in many different places. This cabin is my favorite. If you don’t mind being outside of town, which is only about 10 minutes out, this is the perfect place. It’s breathtaking, serene and fit our family of 5 (6 including our dog). The drive is gorgeous. The backyard is private, even with neighbors around, you don’t really see others. It’s very calm and peaceful without much traffic, which is an advantage of staying outside the town. I highly recommend.

Great Location!

Such a beautiful property! The distance from town was perfect and made for a nice escape from the hustle and bustle. We were able to catch fish in the stream behind the house and there qas plenty of space for the kids to run and play. The only draw back was it lacked a few necessities (toilet paper, trash bags, dish soap, etc.) We were not expecting to need to bring those ourself.
