"This is a small gem of a hotel very close to the Cathedral and the Roman ruins. Staff were very helpful and the room was quiet. The rooftop terrace was a definite plus and the breakfast cereals and yogurt were good. My only complaint is that they only had herb teas for breakfast and after I asked about black tea the first morning they did nothing to get any in for the next two days of my stay."

"Everything was excellent, friendly staff at reception. Was a little disappointed at breakfast when I asked for a coffee and they pointed me to the dispenser, soon after a young women asked for a coffee and got one from the server. Loved the location, and the amenities. I would recommend that they replaced older towels for new ones. Mine had a hole in it and it surprised me for a Hilton."

"Apart from a serious concern that I’ll address below, we enjoyed our stay at Paul’s villa overall. It was a relaxing break in the middle of our vacation and a welcome change from the bigger cities we had been visiting. The villa is beautiful inside and out, with lovely rooms, outdoor space, and a peaceful setting. We really enjoyed spending time with the kittens!Paul was helpful during our stay. He kindly offered to make dinner reservations for us while we were driving in, which was much appreciated after a long travel day. We also appreciated his recommendations for nearby towns and places to visit.Our main concern, however, is something we think future renters should be aware of. After we provided our passport information for Portugal’s mandatory guest registration system, Paul used our information to look us up personally online. We found this invasive, as those details were provided for legal check-in requirements, not personal research.On the second day of our stay, Paul mentioned that he knew personal info about us, specifically that my girlfriend was into yoga. When asked how he knew, he said he had found it “online.” This would have taken serious digging to find, and a level of personal research we consider inappropriate. Rather than learning this through genuine conversation or interest in us as guests, he researched us online using information we were required to provide. Overall, the property is beautiful but this experience made us uncomfortable."

"Personnel parfait, chambre petite mais correcte, déjeuner bien et inclus dans le prix. Piscine payante et très dispendieuse. Donc pourquoi mettre des photos qu'il y a une piscine alors que ca n appartient même pas au Holiday inn et que les frais sont de 30 euros!!!! pour y accéder."
