“The staff was excellent. The space, though, was not. Everything was black and white, decorated with a minimalist eye. The lobby had a lot of wasted space. The "Bistro" was a counter with a very limited menu and a bar. There was not a dresser in our room. There was a flat table under the tv, a long plastic type box with 2 drawers that slid half way under the table, and a lot of wasted space.”

“Not recommended.No TV channels, no breakfast, I paid extra for the best room and they gave me the worst. I don't know who could have given them a good rating.”

“The room had a musty smell. We had to ask to switch rooms. We switched, and the smell was even worse in that room. We got air freshener from the front desk. Everything just seemed old. Pool was dirty and very small. The hotel is in good distance to Busch gardens and water country. Very close to colonial Williamsburg. The place kind of skeeved me. I would not stay again”

“The property was trashy- broken furniture outside rooms. The room looked like it had been trashed holes in the walls dead bugs. The tub looked like it had been spray painted a few colors. Your TRUE crack den! ”

“The staff allowed us to drop our luggage off before check-in so we could go off to do other things and that was nice. The mattress was fairly comfortable and the air conditioning worked fine. Otherwise it was an unpleasant experience. The room was dark and dingy. The furnishings were worn out…the easy chair had stained fabric, the bed sheet had a hole in it, and the handle on the folding door to the bath was missing. The TV produced a message stating that the streaming contract was expired so……

“Whatever you do, don't go here!!! So ghetto, bugs in rooms, dirty as hell. Yuck, didn't even stay 20 min and paid two hundred dollars for two nights. I left. Nope never again.”

“Advertised hot breakfast was not available. Staff informed me that the new owners stopped the hot breakfast when they acquired the property. The only breakfast food available was toast, cereal, yogurt, and a waffle. No coffee at all and no juice. The exercise room was locked and front desk claimed it was due to renovation in another part of the building. I requested a crib when I made the reservation. Front desk informed me on check in that none were available. Spend your money elsewhere…a Motel……

“This review is for the Griffin hotel, not the main hotel (which was beautiful). When we booked our trip, we knew that we wouldn’t be in the main building since we were traveling with a dog. However, if we would have known what we were getting into, we would not have stayed at the Griffin hotel. It felt like the reject hotel. After checking into the main building, we drove to ours. We passed a couple of other small hotels on the property that looked nice and when we got to ours it looked……
