"Staff helpful when needed. Breakfast buffet was standard fare - breads, yogurt and accompaniments, boiled eggs, pastries and deli meats, coffee machine and fresh juice. Overall, it was a nice stay for 2 nights. 3 people, room with 1 king bed and a twin. No parking lot, on street only and you have to pay every 2hrs ($1) on weekdays 8a to 6p. There is a loading unloading spot across from the hotel."

"Casa em canto was a wonderful house to celebrate my 60th birthday. Our family enjoyed the beautiful garden and pool where we spent the days playing in the sunshine. The house is fabulous and we enjoyed the games rooms and the children were entertained 24/7. The karaoke was the highlight and loved by all. We were a mixed group aged from 1 to 60 and all were entertained. The house is spotless and fully equipped. We loved the barbecue and the pizza oven...amazing!The photos do not do the property justice it is perfect! Isabel and Antonio are lovely hosts and very helpful. My birthday gift of pastel de nata and Portuguese port was very appreciated. We hope we can come again x"

"The house is in the perfect location for the town - about a 15 minute walk or 5 mins on a scooter. Fantastic pool and pool room with towels, floats etc. There’s a parking space available in the garage. The house is as per the photos and has everything you need. The host Jorge is very attentive as he lives above the property. Overall it’s good value for money."

"Pool was amazing, room and bathroom spacious. Bed almost too soft with pillow top. Need to be able to turn off the light on the AC unit. The outdoor lights made it impossible to open the door for air. $400 room that does not include breakfast seems price gougey. Of course the room rate was jacked up because of the 2 concerts in town that weekend Beware of purchasing non refundable rooms. I was sick with a very contagious flu and they still would not refund or give me a room voucher for later. Terrible customer service from management"

"This hotels absolutely beautiful and looks like a one time palace. The rooms are stunning and spacious, the pool area is heavenly, the lobby is welcoming, and the restaurant food was outstanding. Great experience!"

"The property has a lot of charm, and the staff were consistently warm, friendly, and helpful, which went a long way toward making our stay enjoyable. That said, the rooms could benefit from some refreshing. The carpet was stained, and despite being assigned a non-smoking room, there was a noticeable cigarette smoke odor when we arrived. The hair dryer attachment didn’t fit properly, making it difficult to use, and we had to request an iron from reception each time we needed one, as none was available in the room. The breakfast was adequate, but there is room for improvement. While the basic offerings were available, the coffee was underwhelming, and the bread and pastries lacked the quality you might expect from a boutique hotel. Overall, the hotel’s character and exceptional staff made a positive impression, but some updates to the rooms and improvements to the breakfast experience would make for a much more enjoyable stay."
