Beautiful House but Disappointing
The house was big and beautiful. Unfortunately, it needs some cleaning and repairs. The inside of the refrigerator was dirty. We found someone's hairbrush and a used soap in a bathroom. The screened in porch had some dried food on the floor.
The first night I slept in a bed that turned out to be coming apart. The slats from the frame were loose so it shifted during the night.
There were cracked panels of plexiglass on screened porch that had come away from screen.
Other aspects were disappointing. Although it was not stated in description, we assumed there would be at least enough toilet paper in each bathroom until we could get to a store. The bedrooms had the folded bedding on top of mattresses for us to assemble. We had traveled over 8 hours to get to our destination. There were 2 hangers in the entire house. Again, it didn't state that there would be hangers but it was disappointing. When I notified the owner of several issues, he was defensive.
With a thorough cleaning, minor repairs and some welcoming touches this could become an excellent choice.
