the property is exactly what we are looking for. Clean and quiet with kitchen. Everything is convenient and Bus Stop #6 takes only two-minute walk. Grocery Store (Kronan) is near by. This made it very convenient for cooking with equipped kitchen. Communication with support is very easy . Hope they can make early check-in more flexible. Will stay here again.

A great place to base yourself when in Iceland. City centre in Reykjavik but still a little back from the main streets to rest from any noise. Everything we needed was provided for within the accommodation. The only improvement that I would suggest would be some allocated parking. The parking house is only a minute away but the charge worked out about £14 a day with taking tours. If you’re driving yourself around the island with no purchased tours, you’re on to a winner. Would definitely go back to Ice Apartments again in the future

This was an excellent base to explore Reykjavik. It was spacious and modern, and had everything I needed to be comfortable. It was immensely central - but slightly off the main area so not as noisy. And the staff were immensely helpful - I had to get in touch three times about minor things, and each time they sorted it all out immediately. I will definitely come back here, highly recommend.

We had a terrible time getting into the apartment. We were given the wrong apartment number and door code. We were stuck outside in the cold and wind trying to find the number to call for assistance. I would say it was stupidity on our part, but it happened to two other parties that day and in the middle of the night. Yelling and screaming. There is a pay car part next door but we had a huge Tesla and couldn't maneuver it in. Parked on the street with the parka app. easy. The apartment was wonderful once we got inside

Excellent apartment right in the center of Reykjavik. Easy walking distance to everything you need in the city and loads of reasonably priced parking options nearby. Apartment has everything you need and is very spacious. Despite being right in the city center, the street was actually very quiet. The company that manages the apartment were very attentive and had a great set up with local tips and recommendations.

Great location, just off the main shopping street, lots of restaurants, cafes, shops and transport options nearby. The apartment itself was perfect for our needs. Decent instructions, for finding it and getting in. Minor niggles were the noisy people upstairs and the ice outside (no gritting/clearing away the snow).

Contact with the accommodation was difficult and overly complicated. Given that most UK flights arrive into Reykjavik in the morning it would be nice to have somewhere to leave luggage for the day before check in is available. To my knowledge the property had no one onsite to help with any issues.

Check-in was easy. The property was clean and comfortable on the inside and had just what we needed for our stay. The neighborhood seemed kind of rough, and the areas all around the property were covered in graffiti and trash. Even though I received texts and emails checking in on us during our stay, I never got any response or personal communication when I requested a late check-out. Even if my request could not be accommodated, I would have liked a response from the property managers.

This property is located in the heart of the shopping/eating district with transportation options (bus pickup location) just around the corner. Communication with the operator was troublesome with the supplied door unlock code wrong on two separate stays before/after our island tour. The 2-person fold-out couch/bed is one room was terrible and uncomfortable (web straps stretched out) while the other room was fine. Both rooms had the problem of bath lights that cannot be turned off as well as some overhead lights in the apartment. Overall, the price was fair and the location was ideal.

The apartment we stayed in was on the 3rd floor so we had to carry our suitcases up 2 flights. When we first arrived there was the smell of sulfur - which went away after the first night. It was as if the apt sat vacant for a few days and the water in the drains had the smell. It has 1 bedroom with 2 twin beds. The place is large and is right off the main street so AMAZING location. Furnishings are modern.

Quite comfortable. Location is a major benefit (close to the Rainbow street). Some idiosyncrasies with the automatic bathroom lighting not coming on (some instructions are provided to redress), and maybe the cushions on the couch could do with some repair. But, minor inconveniences in an otherwise pleasant and comfortable (and reasonably priced) stay. Check in and check out were very easily done with easy to follow instructions. Amenities and sights very nearby. Recommended.

Excellent property to stay at. They provide you with coffee and sugar (need to buy own filters), dish detergent, towels, and shampoo with conditioner. You will need to buy your own laundry detergent if you want to do wash and body wash for the shower. The place is set back from the street, a little tricky to find, but proceed down the alley way between the Vietnamese restaurant and souvenir shop. Place is clean, quiet, and in the perfect location- right next to the rainbow street and shopping areas. Great place and value for your money! Would stay here again. Their communication is impeccable and they always answer your questions right away.

This was a very well located property for food and catching the bus for tours. The gravel outside is very noisy with foot traffic and the acoustics make everything amplified…so bring earplugs :)!!

We booked 3 of the 8 apartments for ourselves, family, and friends during our visit to Iceland for our wedding. The apartments made it convenient to keep 'track' of everyone; allowed us to have a few meals at 'home'; and placed us within walking distance to almost all of our destinations. The apartments were clean, well managed, and provided an alternative to the constraints of staying at hotels.

I wish I had read the negative reviews in more detail before booking this place. The only positive comment I have is regarding the location – right off the Langedeur in the heart of Reykjavik’s pedestrian tourist zone. But the actual location is a weird, stony, unattractive courtyard which on Saturday night was occupied by noisy young people drinking until all hours. We booked here mainly because of the laundry and kitchen facilities. But the combo washer/dryer was frustrating to use with non-intuitive, indecipherable controls for the dryer. The kitchen lighting is so bad it is impossible to see what you’re doing at the stove. Lighting is poor in general - a reading lamp in the main room is desperately needed. Climate controls are also poor. It was difficult to control heat levels without opening windows, which compromised safety and was noisy due to the revelers. Storage space is adequate, though bare bones (e.g., a portable metal rack for hanging items). The carpeting resembles outdoor turf, and did not seem all that clean. And a minor point, but there has been zero effort to decorate the place. A cheap graphic or two on the walls would make it more inviting. In summary, the place was uncomfortable, inefficiently designed, and poorly outfitted. It looks thrown together with just the basics needed to generate listings that appear to make it a comfortable, feature-rich apartment. It seems Reykjavik is becoming dominated by this sort of property, and that is very sad.

This apartment is located in a great spot, easily walk able to many things. It is also quite near Bus Stop 6 which made it easy to be picked up and dropped off for tours and trips out of the city. Having a heated towel rack and the washer/dryer combination turned out to be an excellent added bonus as we were able to dry out our wet clothes quickly so that we didn't miss out on any time to adventure.

We booked a ‘Superior’ apartment to accommodate 3 adults. The apartment is very well situated for shops and restaurants, we were very pleased with the location. It does get noisy outside through to the early hours of the morning on a Friday and Saturday night but we felt that was a reasonable trade off and it has been well documented in other reviews. The kitchen was not particularly well equipped for self catering; only one saucepan (without a lid) and a frying pan. No colander for draining pasta for example, too few knives and the toaster had a slice of bread stuck in it from the previous occupant, (presumably). There is a non-digital microwave and a two-ring ceramic hob which we had difficulty operating. No oven. If you’re expecting to self-cater then you might struggle as we did. The washing machine was useful as was the washing powder, dishwasher tablets, shampoo and conditioner. We hired a car and although there’s no onsite parking, there’s plenty of street parking nearby (which you have to pay for). There is free parking up by the church (Hallgrimskirkja) which is less than a 10 minute walk. On the whole it was a good experience and I would stay there again but not with the express intention of self catering.

The property is in a great location near restaurants and stores and was in excellent condition. The kitchen was perfect and came stocked with coffee. It was not easy to fine upon arrival but once we found it, it was great. The only complaint is the comforters could have been cleaner.

We rented three apartments for 3 nights. The 2 units in the bottom floor and 1 unit in the first floor. The apartments were very well located and communication to get in was very clear and on time. The units were very clean and comfortable and perfect for what we were looking for our first time visit to Reykjavik. There was a parking lot steps from the unit which was very convenient as well. We had one MAJOR issue however. One night, at approximately 3am, we heard a noise in our unit (one of the lower ones) that woke us up. The noise was as if someone was trying to open one of the windows that lead to the porch outside. Indeed, me, my girlfriend and our two kids were more than shocked to see a woman actually open the window and walked in the apartment in the dark and went straight to the bathroom. We immediately jumped out of bed and went to see what was happening/ We opened the bathroom and told this girl (in her 20s and visibly drunk or high) to immediately get out of our room. She repeatedly apologize in a somewhat incoherent fashion and left thorough the same window. Once she was outside, I locked the window and asked her again to leave. At that point, she was no longer apologetic but became angry and defiant. I told her I was going to call the police and she kept arguing with profanities and finally left. Needless to say, after the incident my whole family was in total shock and we were unable to sleep the rest of that night. (Find entire review on Google)

Perfect location and nicely done rooms
We really enjoyed our stay. The property location was excellent - right in the center of town at the beginning of the rainbow road and easy walk to the waterfront. The building is in the middle of a city block so no view, and noisy, but that was fine with us in exchange for a city-center location. While the outside of the building looks a little more worn than in the pictures and there was graffiti by the entrance, our unit was very nicely done and clean and comfortable. The kitchenette and washing machine were so useful! It was also very close to bus stop #6 which we used to be picked up and dropped off from out tours. We would definitely stay there again!
