Great Location!
Great location - only 10-15 min walk to town and there is a large park nearby. We were 5 adults and all of us agree the beds were very comfortable. We stayed in the upper level which included free on-site parking. Host is very responsive. We would recommend this property!

Perfect Reykjavik Townhouse
Wonderful location just steps away from the noise and fun of downtown Reykjavik. Perfect for 4 people. Comfortable beds and seating in living space, though larger groups might need more space in the living room. This place is always fully booked, for good reason. Cleaning staff could do a better job on the shower area. Clearly a mildew problem that could be easily fixed. Otherwise five stars.

No Bedroom Closets or Shelves
Nice home in good location. Well decorated. Don’t rent unless you like living off the bedroom floors. And there isn’t much of that since the bedrooms are quite small. The off street parking space was handy.

We really liked how convenient the location was. Also great to have sleeping on one floor and living on another. The off street parking was a great addition too!! We used this as home base for all of Iceland and it worked out very well

Extremely helpful and responsive owner. Very good location close to the sites and Reykjavik sites as well as your pick up locations. As others have noted the water in Reykjavik often has a sulfurous smell; this is the case just about everywhere. Only things for improvement at the property would be replacement of stair carpet and updating of living room furniture.

This is a very comfortable property in a quiet neighborhood within walking distance of all the great sights of Reykjavik. It’s an easy walk to shops and restaurants as well as the harbor. The beds were very comfortable and there is off street parking.

Great location- property needs work
This property is a great size and close by to many of the sites in Reykjavik. I had to message the owner to ask for door codes before we got to the property. There were several areas in the house that need attention and repair: a huge stain on the sisal rug on the stair, large areas of wall that needed plaster and repair. The owner asked us to keep the windows cracked to help keep condensation off the windows. This seems very common in Iceland- we saw open windows everywhere in 40F temps. The bathroom was nice, but had such horrible mildew and mold that we coughed while using the bathroom. We ran the fan constantly and nothing helped. Bed pillows were totally flat and any extra pillows we could find were stained and had no linens. A few small upgrades and repairs and this place would be fantastic.

Charming home
Location is a bit older but well cared for. Kitchen well stocked with utensils, pots/pans, etc. Would ask that in the future, napkins or paper towels be provided. With only one dish towel, we didn’t have anything to use during meals. Small thing but didn’t create a challenge. Otherwise charming home and owner was very responsive to any inquiries leading up to the trip.

The location is great and the owner was very responsive and easy to communicate with. Unfortunately, the house had a moldy odor that was overpowering in the bathroom. Also it said there was a washer/tumble dry. The washer worked great and someone had even left behind laundry soap, but there was no tumble dry that I could find on the machine.

Lovely interior
My US family and I stayed at this property for four nights. I have been to Iceland many times and have family that lives there. Because the size of our group, we needed to rent a house during this trip. The location to downtown was awesome and the apartment was quite spacious. The interior showed a nice update to what is an old home and decorated nicely. Two criticisms I might have is that the front of the building and the back garden needs quite a bit of maintenance. It is rather shabby and there is only one small closet for three bedrooms. With no other shelves or dresser drawer options, we had to live out of our suitcases. In the end, it suited our needs.

Property was clean and comfortable. Beds and bathroom were excellent. Location was great. It would have been helpful to have had some instructions for using the dishwasher and washing machine. We found the washing machine area to be so cluttered and awkward that we chose to use a commercial laundromat. The website showed a hot tub, and there was none. The back porch littered with cigarette butts was not too appealing. Although the front of the house is a little grungy, the back windows look out over a pleasant, green , wooded area. Overall, I would have to rate it as adequate. It served our purposes, but I would not choose it again.

Loved staying here! The place was clean and beautiful and the location was really great. Ulli was also very accommodating and check in was easy. However, some items that we expected to be provided were missing such as shampoo/conditioner, and several cooking utensils like a spatula, tongs, etc. There was also no desk contrary to the listing description.

We had a wonderful stay in this cozy and clean Reykjavik home. The owner was very easy to get in touch with and super helpful and accommodating. The location of the home was perfect, centrally located but still a quiet residential area. Kitchen and rooms were well-appointed. Plenty of space for our family (2 adults and 3 children). Pros: Excellent city location convenient walking distance into town, shopping, old city, church and quiet with street parking easily found Beautiful apartment, nicely furnished with home-like decorating touches Good living room comfortable seating for 5 3 bedrooms with one having a bunk bed Nicely furnished with dishes, silverware, and cookware Staples of soaps, shampoo, conditioner and hair dryer available Food staples of salt, pepper, some spices available Owner is very responsive to questions and requests and friendly Best baby chair I’ve ever seen—turns into a rocking car and train—really! Cons: Slight sulfur smell in hot water at times (similar to hot springs) (weren’t for us but could be for some): steep steps into apartment and up to bedrooms and to basement washer Some directions about trash disposal and finding trash bags on the front desk or somewhere near the kitchen (in basement) would be helpful

Fun in Reykjavík
On the way to Finland, my family and I planned a 3 day stay over in Reykjavík and it was fabulous. The property is just as explained in the write details on VRBO. The apartment is closely situated to city center such that you can walk everywhere. My family of four and a sister were very comfortable with the living arrangements. AND, Ulli is very responsive!! Great place and I will stay there again on my next trip to Iceland.

Perfect Location for your Iceland Adventure
The apartment was exactly as we had hoped, spacious, clean and close to all the action of Reykjavík. We didn’t need to use the car in the city once, we simply parked in the supplied parking space and walked everywhere. We did some sightseeing on the Golden Circle and went to the Blue Lagoon and Secret Lagoon, getting in and out of the city and onto the highways was a breeze. Communication with Uli was great and he always responded to questions quickly. I definitely recommend this place to anyone needing some extra space and a nice kitchen/bathroom in a central location in Reykjavik. We were a family of 5 and it was perfect!

Great home in Reykjavik
We stayed at this property for two nights with our two teenage children. Ulli was very responsive to our questions and provided helpful information about the home and surrounding area in advance. He was also flexible with our arrival and check-in time, which we appreciated. The home is very spacious and has a great layout. The ground floor has an entry vestibule, kitchen, dining room, and nice sized living room. There is also a back porch and garden. Upstairs are the three bedrooms (including one balcony) and the bathroom. This property worked very well for our family. We walked to shops, restaurants, and many of the attractions in the town. The property is right down the street from one of the locations of the Reykjavik Art Museum and Klambratún Park. We would definitely stay here again!

Perfectly located immaculate home
We spent 6 fantastic days travelling through scenic Iceland and used the flat as our base. It was perfectly located for touring southern and south west Iceland (including Reykjavik ).
