“We’ve stayed at The Peaks on several occasions, and sadly, this trip was incredibly disappointing. From the moment we checked in, the experience was poor. The front desk employee was curt and provided virtually no information about the hotel or amenities. We weren’t told that the pool was under construction, the waterslide was closed, the game room was closed, or that the restaurant wasn’t open. We weren’t given the Wi-Fi password, told where to find breakfast or what the coffee shop offered,……

The amenities were fantastic...great pool with hot tub, lockers, gym, and the complimentary coffee, teas, and cookies hit the spot! We loved the location as it was very close to the market and the free gondola. Definitely highly recommend!”

“There were several things to like about this hotel. It is located in Mountain Village, which is a thousand feet above the town of Telluride; tucked in an alpine glen with several other hotels, restaurants, and upscale shopping. Access to the town of Telluride is best done using the free tram which departs from a couple of points within Mountain Village, stops at the top of the hill where you can get off and hike or just take in the scenery, and then descends to the town of Telluride itself. ……

“Staff was super friendly. Loved the free coffee and tea in the morning, Parking in and around the area was fine. The only downfall was the temp in the room. They have a swamp cooler, which is probably pretty normal for Silverton’s accommodations. I’m sure not very many buildings are air-conditioned in this town but was a little warm at night. It did cool off but took a smidge of time. Delightful place.”

“We were honestly shocked at how dirty the room was. Floors left our feet black with filth, and the sheets were "clean enough", yet had some hair and dirt flecks in them. The shower was good water pressure and heat, but the floor outside it had signs of water damage (squishy floorboards). Toilet seat was barely attached to toilet. We stayed in the mysterious room 10, which wasn't mentioned in the lobby signage, and we got in late so we had to call the emergency line to even find it. Turns……

“The property is immaculately maintained, with an excellent staff and wonderful hosts (Jim and Leslie). Easy drive to Durango, hot springs, Purgatory ski slopes, etc make this one of my favorite B-N-Bs. The morning breakfast is just cherries on top!”

“Hotel and room are very charming, and the check-in/out process is very unique (no staff). The main draw back was that the only real amenity was the iced water jug, which was empty by 7:00 AM, and with no staff, there was no way to get it refilled. Loved the location, right in the middle of Silverton, which made dining and shopping convenient and enjoyable. Despite the water issue, it's definitely a very, very cool place to stay.”
