The Art Studio – A Beautiful Family Home in the Heart of Nature

The property is a spacious and beautifully renovated semi-detached country house, with excellent indoor and out door dining, including 7 bedrooms and 4.5 bathrooms. Suitable for 12 adults (Bedrooms 1-6) and 2 children (Bedroom 7).

A Unique Historical Touch

The main living room of the property was an Art Studio built in 1904. On-site, you’ll also discover a restored World War II army bunker, now transformed into an authentic Finnish Sauna and heated plunge pool (1.8m x 1.8m) – a truly one-of-a-kind experience. Lovely property with some great outdoor space. The hot tub was fantastic. Very good communication with the owners, and our group had a super weekend. The one negative was the close proximity of the house to a busy main road, which is mostly blocked out with the windows and doors closed. All in all though highly recommended.

Easter weekend

Such a fabulous property. The location is fabulous. So lovely to be able to walk straight into the woods. The only slight issue for us were the 3 twin bedded rooms. They are situated in the attic space, so very small with slanted roofs. Ideal for kids, but not adults.

Great outdoor spaces

Lovely host who was very helpful and friendly. The forte of this property is the number of great outside spaces to sit. Some shade, some sunny. And the garden gate opens onto the Forest where it’s a nice walk to Moors Valley Country Park which is great for kids but also nice for adults. Upstairs bedrooms not really suitable for little ones because of the steep stairs. Recommended.

Cycling tour

We found this a great location for our 3 day cycling tour of the 2 forests (10 cycling with 2 back up cars) We also used Luigi the resident chef on the Saturday night for our GALA dinner.

Fantastic house for big friends family group

We had a wonderful stay in the Studio. We went with four families and all had plenty of space and loved the garden, BbQ, hot tub and surrounding forest. Only 15 mins to the beach! Timo the host was great, very helpful and nothing was too much trouble.

Excellent property

We stayed at ‘The studio’ for my wife’s 70th birthday. There were 9 adult and 2 teenagers. There is so much space with lots of seating areas all around the grounds. The garden and patio are lovely. Great selection of bedrooms. Toilets and showers. My family made lots of use of the hot tub. Early April the weather was brilliant luckily. I would highly recommend the studio!

A wonderful stay

A beautiful house, full of character and spacious well equipped garden. We all had a great time and loved the hot tub. Good location for New Forest and beaches. We really enjoyed driving through the forest and seeing so many horses. Very near main road so some road noise but bearable.

Special birthday celebration

From the moment we arrived we knew this would be a special property; the Studio exudes charm, warmth and a real family feel. It was a perfect backdrop to a 60th birthday celebration. The hosts, Steven and Timo, were welcoming and nothing was too much trouble. We would definitely recommend this property, you won’t be disappointed and we will definitely return.

A beautiful Property

A lovely property, ideal for 11 of us from 93 years to 5 years old. The open plan kitchen, dining and lounge area was perfect for us all to be together. The host was very welcoming and helpful. The hot tub was great, and being able to walk out of the garden gate into the forest was lovely. The fire pit was an added bonus. The property is well placed for visits to the New Forest. Altogether an amazing family Easter.

The Studio

This was a lovely property in a beautiful location. The garden was great for the two dogs that we brought. The host showed us around when we arrived and said if we needed anything just to ring this was comforting. The only slight draw back was it could have been a little cleaner in fact there were a pair of knickers under one of the beds presumably left by a previous tenant!

House in the woods

Overall a comfortable house although the three bedrooms in the roof were very small and low. The kitchen was adequate but some detailed instructions for the dishwasher and induction hob would have been very useful. 14 occupants pushes it to its limits, particularly when there are only 13 spoons! Guests should be advised to take there own coat hangers as there is little in the way of wardrobes, only wall/door hooks.

Family Christmas

From start to finish excellent communication from Steven and Timo. Great to have support from Timo while we were there as we had a few hiccups with the oven, hob and dishwasher. Modern technology!I hadn’t realised that 2 beds were for small children but fortunately one adult couldn’t make it so the teenager managed to stretch out on his own!We all loved the hot tub and was a great way to start Christmas Day morning. On arrival we were welcomed by Timo and a warm and welcome house decorated for Christmas and 2 log burners burning brightly. We had a lovely family gathering and were able to explore the nearby Blashford Lakes and nature reserve. Great gardens and grounds but better for a spring, summer or autumn break.An interesting marble cast and family history in the house.ThankYou so much ch Steven and Timo.Rosie

Great property for a long weekend!

This property is ideal for a large group of friends or family. It comfortably accommodated 8 of us across 3 generations, including 2 small children - a great kitchen, lots of sleeping, chill out and dining options, plus plenty of bathrooms! We lit the huge log burner each evening (logs provided) as a little chilly, which was lovely and cosy. The garden is large, mature and beautiful, with plenty of outdoor seating plus a bbq and firepit, and we made full use of the hot tub. Enough space too for children to explore and play, very safe. Communication with Timo was great, he was patient with our questions and responded very quickly. An added bonus was having the lovely Luigi cook us a fabulous Italian meal, he was great fun and so patient and kind with our 7 year old whom he had as his “sous chef”! Ringwood forest, moors valley country park and go ape are easily accessible either walking out of the back gate or a short drive. Parking is plentiful and safe as gated. All in all, a fabulous weekend. The reason for 4 stars instead of 5 is that the property, although quirky, very clean and welcoming, is tired and in need of some tlc and maintenance in places.

The property is beautiful inside and out. They had everything needed onsite and went above and beyond- i.e coal, firewood, laundry and dishwasher tablets included. Highly recommend the Italian Chef - food was incredible. Host and chefs were so welcoming, friendly and very helpful.

The property was lovely and spacious with lots of outdoor seating in the interesting gardens. The nearby management promptly dealt with our minor questions. My only minor criticism is that the main road (a31) is nearby and can be busy.The nearby woods are great for largely flat walks. Might take bikes next time.

Amazing propety and hosts

We are just back from what has been an amazing weekend away. The property is beautiful and has a lovely, calm energy about it, with lovely walks into the country park. Group Cycling Trip

The place is incredible. A full kitchen for cooking, a beautiful garden to relax in, and the hot tub and sauna are fab. Timo is fantastic and made the check-in experience perfect.Highly recommend.
