"This hotel is stunning! It has the most gorgeous views, it is safe, the staff are amazing too. It is however in the middle of nowhere so this is more for relaxing than anything. If you want to go into the city daily, it may be better to stay closer to the city. There is also no food close by the property so you can order room service. The rooms are decent, but the real attraction is the shared amenities."

"A week ago we were reading online reviews, trying to figure out where to stay in massive Rio. It was a 3 night trip before traveling on, and we wanted an escape, proximity to the main sights, a beach, and uncover a gem. Jackpot in Casa Mosquito. "We arrived at the hotel shortly after 8pm in a mega rain storm..... and we couldn't get in. We buzzed, we yelled and knocked, we called 3 times, and there was no one to recieve us. We stood there for almost 30 mins, in a downpour, in front of the door, and it was terrible. We paid over 100usd and I am livid! We have called more than a dozen times and no answer. I am demanding a refund, and a way for the hotel to make this terrible experience correct."

"I purchased travel insurance because there was a huge chance for issues. Sure enough the airline canceled the flight within 24 hours of booking and the property kept saying cancel is possible but we had to do other steps. We followed the steps and more steps elsewhere were given to the point we were sent to a dead end."
