“The Stavrand is a beautiful property nestled in the redwoods just a few minutes walk from downtown Guerneville. The front desk and dining room staff were friendly and helpful. We brought kayaks, for which we were shown a safe place for storage. My disappointments were: (1) the swimming pool was quite cold, and the jacuzzi was not very hot and had no operative jets, (2) housekeeping did not come clean our room during our 2-night stay, and (3) the room, though lovely, had no real separation of bed……
“Clean air,good breakfast,
Staff is rigid, not flexible, using standard meaningless texting without addressing an issues, close to shopping, Safeway store.”
“Absolutely loved this property. Very clean. Staff was great. We loved the bonfire with the smores. Breakfast was delicious! Would definitely stay here again!”
“design was underwhelming - prefab small houses. Staff was generally unavailable to help solve problems. However, excellent artwork by local artist!!!!”
“My husband and I spent our anniversary weekend here. Our goal was to be close to nature with a nice clean room to sleep in.
The room was clean. The outdoor garden / terrace was serene. Access to kayaking and the forest was a huge plus. Property is kept with the understanding the house is beneath trees and there will be leaves / dust. Staff were very pleasant. Decor and food were ok. Overall, we left happy.”
“Hotel is beyond beautiful with the roses and the environment very calming and peaceful, amazing backdrop to the mountains. Just an overall amazing place”
