“Everything was good except for 2 things : 1) we went the last week of April and the seaweed at the beach was so much 2) a dinner reservation system was horrible, we arrived on a Sunday and immediately went to guest services to book our dinners for the week. The problem is nearly all of them were booked up for the week already even though this is during off-season, which was really surprising. We were able to get in at three of the restaurants during the weekday we had but the earliest……

“The shoreline was very rocky, which made entering the water difficult. There was also a lot of seaweed, but the hotel staff diligently cleared it away, making our morning swims much more pleasant. The food was fresh and delicious, with a wide selection of fruits and vegetables. The rooms were clean, and the bed linen was fresh and clean as well. We had a wonderful time staying at the resort with our family.”

“Barcelo Maya Beach is much bigger than we had anticipated. The 4 beachfront Barcelo hotels share the common areas so we had access to many facilities. The food was good and the location is beautiful. We would definitely stay there again.”

“If you are looking for a peaceful resort, good food and attentive staff, this is the place for you. Modern architecture, open spaces, clean amenities. My favorite part was definitely how everyone is there to help, serve and make your stay as comfortable as they can. You will find servers everywhere bringing you food and drinks. This resort does not bring party vibes, even at the pool we had a quiet environment, but if you want a louder resort, you can definitely catch that at the properties……
