Lots of room inside and shady area near the water. Nice Lake too
We had 7 adults and 3 little kids. Room for everyone. Large screen porch for games and hanging out.
Everything and MORE! You will NOT be disappointed!
Would give this property, and its host, 10 STARS if I could. We rented this lovely home for several days before and after my son’s wedding in Rochester. (This was the way to go since there are NO HOTELS in town.) My goodness, were we bowled over with the cleanliness and expanse of this place. It far exceeded our expectations, as the groom’s parents, as well as the expectations of our family guests who have stayed at other Vrbo homes that were not as expected. The home was probably more well-equipped than my own home, the kitchen has anything and everything a cook like me needed. Space was pristine, easy to use, easy to find. I just wish we’d had more time to enjoy the outdoor space. Thank you for such a WONDERFUL experience. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!
The house is very nice, the master bedroom on the 1st floor with others on the 2nd was perfect. The house is quite large. We had 9 people and were not close to crowded. The living room is large with a craft table. The screened room where we spent a lot of time has a large craft table as well. We rented a pontoon boat for a few days and pulled the kids behind (we had to bring our own toy, you couldn't rent them or at lease we couldn't find. We ate locally a few times and there are nice home grown restaurants. We fished and caught catfish and bass with a bobber and worm off the sea wall and dock. The neighbor brought us some zucinni and we made a bunch of Zuc. Bread. The weather was great, especially since we left 104 degrees at home. We had a great time. The best thing I can say is that we would rent this house again and hope we get to. The owner was very responsive to questions we had. We didn't have many and the house was so turn key, we just enjoyed our time.
I cannot describe how perfect this trip was being able to stay in a house that actually fit my 86 year old mother, husband, myself, our two sons and their wives, and our three grandchildren… ages 8, 7, and 4. There was all ways something to do. We enjoyed walking to breakfast at the Lighthouse off 14. We rented a pontoon boat that was a big hit with everyone! We went out at least two times a day. I had purchased a floatable for each adult and child. The kids loved floating right off the dock which is maybe 3 feet deep. The years was big enough and perfect for corn hole! We brought our own, but one was already provided. The screened in patio was equipped with a large table to seat our family of 10. The scenery was beautiful and also equipped with extra outside items for adults and children. The inside was perfect and offered anything and everything you would need to use… even an Air fryer! Spices, paper plates, plastic/real silverware, and cooking pans, utensil, pots, baking dishes, sugar, flour, brown sugar, etc. it had more in this kitchen than mine does! I highly recommend this beautiful home. We will be returning again in two summers!
This home is perfect for bigger groups of family & friends. The owner was quick with responding to any questions we had. This is our 2nd time renting this house & if it’s available next year we will definitely go back.
You will not be disappointed if you choose to vacation at this home. The home is lovely; beautifully decorated, welcoming and inviting. We ranged in age from 5 months to 70 and this house had all the comforts of home. Spacious screened porch was a wonderful gathering space and what a beautiful view of the lake! I could fill pages of praise. We had the best time and are looking at rebooking for next summer! I’d give more than 5 stars if possible.
We had a great week. The property was all that we needed. Loved that the master suite was on first floor with remaining bedrooms on second floor. If we were not on the lake, we spent most of our time on the large, very comfortable, screened porch. We had 5 adults, an 8 yr old and 1 yr old. There was plenty of room to spread out.
Kitchen was well equipped. We cooked all our meals on the outdoor grill.
We would definitely rent again.
This was our families first vacation together and this house did not disappoint! The pictures online do not do it justice! With 5 bedrooms (that includes master w/bath) all with comfortable beds and clean rooms, I was thrilled!
That is so VERY important! The house was full of character and a kitchen that had everything!! Did I say everything! The screen porch was where we spent most of our time inside for meals and playing games if we were not enjoying ourselves in the lake! Plenty of seating and a beautiful view! Didn't want to leave! Thank you to Bob for making our stay so very easy! He was available for questions prior to trip, and he has a keypad entry so no worries about keys! Hope to return someday!
Our family (ages18 - 84) arrived from Michigan, Wisconsin, Tennessee, and New York to spend a week at an Indiana Lake. This house had everything we needed for a great time! Plenty of space with 5 bedrooms, 3 bathrooms, an eat-in kitchen with table for 8, large living room, and large screened porch with an additional table for 8, lower deck with more seating, lakeside front yard with space for a fire pit and playing corn hole, Bocce, or other games , plenty of chairs, couches, and nooks. The rooms were spacious and decorated nicely. In addition, the kitchen was equipped with everything you would need for cooking and there were two grills outside, both a charcoal grill and a big gas grill. We brought some food and shopped once at Kroger and needed nothing but our clothes - paper products and dish and laundry pods were provided. There were two sets of dinnerware and practically any small kitchen appliance or gadget you could want. We rented a pontoon boat one day and enjoyed traveling around the lake and swimming. If we had had some inner tubes (like when we were kids) or flotation toys we might have spent more time in the water. This house has a wonderful view of the lake and we enjoyed being on the porch, but the air conditioning made the house very comfortable inside as well, even when the temperatures were in the high 80’s. The place has many books, games, and 3 large TV’s. And the front lawn is shaded by two trees for much of the day. A wonderful place to stay!
This was our first stay on Lake Manitou in Rochester, IN & it worked out very well !
We had a group of 10, my family of 6 & our friends family of 4.
Sometimes website pics can be misleading, but for this house it was the opposite, the house was so much nicer than the pics we saw. The layout was perfect for our group, with 4 of the 5 bedrooms upstairs, good size kitchen that was loaded with everything you need to cook, laundry room/closet, big family room & the screened in porch(could comfortably seat 15-16 ppl) is perfect for hanging out at night & avoiding the bugs.
The home is on a peninsula, so it has a pier on the front & back, which was perfect because we brought 2 boats & 2 wave runners, so we had plenty of room.
The frontage is a good size space that has some shade from trees, no beach area but there is a short ladder on the pier & the water is shallow enough for kids. There is plenty of parking(we had 6 vehicles)
I don’t really have any negatives about this home….. even the neighbors were really nice & helpful.
It was a great property. the owner responds immediately to emails. The house is stocked with everything you need and has plenty of room so all 9 of us had plenty of space. We rented a pontoon and spent a lot of time boating anc tubing on the lake. It was a great week,
My family of 8 adults, two small children, and one infant spent a fantastic week over my birthday at this beautiful house located just steps from the lake. The house is spacious, immaculate, modern, very comfortably and attractively furnished, well-supplied and stocked, and beautifully landscaped. We especially enjoyed spending time in the enclosed deck and lower deck, facing the lake. We were able to rent a pontoon boat for a couple days from a local company and it was docked conveniently at the house. The property owner was very responsive and helpful answering all our questions in advance and ensuring we had a great stay. We live over 600 miles away but would like to return again, this is a great place to vacation, a five-star experience.
Home was very nice and plenty of amenities. Plenty of room for our group of 9 people. We brought our own boat and enjoyed the lake as well. Loved the screened in sun porch, firepit and all of the beautiful flowers! We would definitely stay again if we have the chance!
Amazing property! PLEASE take care of this property during your stay! You can see and feel all the pride and hard work the owners have put into it for US to enjoy and relax in.
There were 14 of us for most of the stay. Ranging from Adult to toddler and we had plenty of room! We took care of food, drinks, and personal items. Pretty much everything else is already there! A kitchen stocked with good quality items for all your needs. Bedrooms with plenty of linens. Bathrooms with good water pressure and towels stocked. Comfortable living room space. The screened in porch is amazing! A deck and some yard space too! The dock is nice and long. Really nice having steps going into the lake. Between boating, tubing, and swimming there was a lot of time spent in the lake! It's a nice lake. Not super busy which was what we were looking for.
We had the best time and made a lifetime of memories with our family! This is a place we would stay at again.
We had a wonderful week with our extended family (10 people) at this well-appointed home. Great communication from the owner, very hospitable accommodations, and plenty of space for relaxing, reading, playing games, and spending family time. We enjoyed the lake, of course - we rented a boat (Clarke’s Marine in North Webster) so we could do tubing and the kids enjoyed swimming in the deeper parts of the lake. All in all a great experience.
We had a group of singles and couples (7 people total) that were traveling to the area for a week long event. The property was perfect for accommodating our group size. We loved staying here! Having our morning coffee on the screened in porch and relaxing there each evening was so relaxing. We spent the majority of our time out there. The view of the lake was beautiful as well. The house is beautiful inside and out and there are plenty of amenities offered in the house that you should need nothing when you arrive. We were sad to leave at the end of our stay. It's a great property and our group all loved staying there! You will not be disappointed!
