We were able to cook good meals on an excellent gas range although there are a few bits and pieces of cutlery/crockery that would have made it even better. This was the fifth time we have stayed in this cottage; it is a great place to stay if you want to see many places in the area. We even visited Newcastle (easy if you use 'park and metro') and as far as Kelso in Scotland to see Floors Castle."

"Lovely comfy cottage located in an ideal location for accessing Northumberland Coastline and Moors. Local amenities are great with the town of Morpeth less than 10 minutes away. The pub 100m from the cottage is a great local pub with good food and friendly staff. The quality of everything in the cottage is great, the hot tub and log burner are also fantastic and allowed for a very relaxing stay.We will definitely be back in the future."

Very basic food at the linden tree restaurant, ordered buttermilk chicken bao buns but it was grilled chicken not buttermilk and was overcooked. Steak was also overcooked but staff did change the steak for me. Nice hotel, couldn’t fault the staff but food was not great. "
