The property was beautiful and included all that we needed. However, the previous guest filled the exterior garbage cans to the top and the garbage was not disposed of during our 5 day stay. We had to bring our trash out each day and dispose of it ourselves which was a nuisance.

Great location
I love this house and have stayed here before, gave it a 4 because the yard was full of leaves and you couldn’t see the walkways also a dining room chair was clearly broken but left in a main spot where someone would sit. I did contact the management team and they were quick to respond. Will definitely stay there again.

Pretty cottage
I have stayed here before. We do love it . Kitchen is great. Not the best rental for Summer months. There is no yard but we go in October. Please update the Ki g bed in the Master bedroom. It lays on like a board or something and needs a box spring. The yard needs serious updating. Very overgrown and in need of some maintenance. Be careful walking over the rocks , there’s no clear path. Only parking for 2 cats . Very hard to maneuver in. Overall the place is a great location to stay. Half a mile to the train and the beach. Don’t forget to go to Bearskin Neck!!

Lovely place - great location!
We love this location. The house is comfortable and has so many charming features. Our only major complaint is that the outside garbage bin was not emptied from the prior renters and there was no place to put garbage outside. This also made the small area that was represented as usable outdoor space extremely unpleasant. I communicated this at least 4 times to the host. They kept responding thanking us for sharing that info but it was not taken care of. I am actually wondering if I was communicating with an actual person since the responses seemed quite automated. Other than that, the inside was clean and comfortable.

Eclectic hideaway
Property was great. Property management no so hot. Answered my questions by saying all I needed to do was read their email. The lack of info in there was why I had called. Basically it boiled down to lack of a folder with the owners expectations of us upon leaving and no local info of places to eat or visit. All other VRBO we have used had lots ideas. Also, no coffee, tea, creamer, filters for coffee pot or hand soap or kleenex in bathrooms. I presume this is a management issue. The counter tops were dirty. Had to clean area next to refrigerator and by the coffee pot. Don't plan to be able to park a truck of large SUV in the allotted spaces, they are tight.

I'd 100% stay here again. Location was just what I was expecting. The house all all the amenities necessary. My only complaint and I wouldn't even call it a complaint, is the yard was a little overgrown to where you couldn't access the second parking spot. Over-all that in no way took away from my experience, we only had one vehicle so there was no need to have access to the other parking spot.

Great property
This is walking distance to the beach, wharf, and charming Rockport. The parking is tight but this little house is so charming and eclectic you won’t mind at all. Beautiful curated decor and so much light make this feel like home.

Great for a few days in Cape Ann
The house was a good size for our family of 5 plus dog. (We chose the place because we could bring our dog.) The location was convenient. The house was clean and comfortable and with fun decor. We were able to make a few meals in the kitchen. We had no complaints.

Checkin was super easy. The house location was fine. The decor was really cute. The house had a really funky smell. The bathroom grout had mold in the shower and the sink. The toilet seat was loose and really unusable because of it. The smell was bad and stuck to our clothes. Unfortunately the animals also got into the trash and their wasn’t a good place for us to throw ours away. Maybe the people before us cooked something foul.

Nice relaxing place
Great quiet place. Walk to Bearskin is easy if individual doesn't have mobile requirements. A park is located about a block away right down the road...great for kids to run and get their energy out. We took our dog there daily. The house is super nice. The showers were great..laundry accomodations are a nice feature. We had a wonderful 4-day stay. 2-car parking as advertised...jus back in...super easy.

Adorable artistic cottage
We absolutely loved this cottage! It does not have the greatest curb appeal , but once you go inside you won’t want to leave! The kitchen . Amazing. We loved the decor, copper sink, fully stocked and refrigerator had an ice/ water machine. One drawer was cracked ( not by us ) . We even found a cast iron pan! My favorite. Living room adorable decor, pretty lamps ! Very comfy I loved all the tvs in the house and dining room table was perfect. Washer dryer right off the dining area. Bedrooms perfect ! I love how the master is down the hallway with its own private bathroom! The bathrooms are the coolest tiles! Even the toilets match ! It was fantastic. King size bed and all linens were clean and super fresh smelling! I didn’t want to get out of bed! I have to say the doors were weird . Front door leads into a bedroom so we used the door off the side driveway. There’s no yard , just a table and chairs on the driveway with the grill so if that’s important to you, but we were inside the whole time. We took a walk to an awesome park with a pond .the house is on a dead end but there’s a little street across that leads to Forest Ave. 0.2 miles to town!! You must eat at Two Little Birds eatery by the beach! So delicious and cute. Overall we LOVED IT. Only negatives are please put locks on basement doors . There are two entrances into the basement and a trap door that lifts up into the kitchen with no lock. We had me and three females teenagers, so safety to me is very important. Rockport is beautiful and safe but locks would make me feel better.. sorry I’m from NY and there’s crazy people everywhere. Only other thing is the fees are substantial with this rental. There was garbage not cleaned up on the side of the house and the cleaning crew left the dishwasher full so we had to empty it on arrival. Kind of annoying after paying hundreds in a cleaning fee! But we LOVED THE COTTAGE.

Somewhat eccentric interior design with lots of space, and comfy bedrooms and baths. A great kitchen tops it all off. We did not find the busy decor off-putting, but some might.

It was well located to the T which coupled with Ubers that was our transportation. Every place we visited was close. Rockport, Marblehead and Boston all close by thanks to the trains. Our host Michael is very pleasant and interesting. I hope to have a beer with him sometime. We will be back I am sure of that.

Rockport Getaway
Cute, unique home. So beautifully decorated with antiques, gorgeous tile work, artwork and Tiffany lamps. Great location and very comfortable home. The house is cheerful and full of light from the many skylights. You couldn’t ask for a better location. Enjoyed morning walks to the beach. We’d love to see the same attention to detail from the inside paid to the beautiful plants outside.

Hidden treasures
This was a comfortable home with very interesting decorations and furnishings. Everywhere you looked there were unusual little gems to charm you. The yard was so overgrown as to be unusable.

A Gem in the Rough
The rental home is lovely, truly a snapshot of another time. The antiques and colorful tiles are very nice, and you feel you are transported to a flat in Paris! Plenty of supplies, kitchenware, and entertainment options. Our only observation that kept this from being a 5 Star was the landscaping. Beautiful plantings were overgrown, trash was scattered along the side and back, and it was generally an untidy effect, not the gorgeous garden it could have been. A clean up day for the outside of the property is sorely needed. Otherwise, the Home was a home run.

The house is located on a small lot, in a safe area. The pictures are accurate in terms of how colorful the house is. The furniture is split between good and shabby condition. The master bedroom had a wooden board sticking out from underneath (I guess to prop up the bed) on which my husband hurt his foot. But I could overlook this if the property would have been clean. The refrigerator door had dry food on it, the place was not dusted, the coasters had dry food, the dining room table had crumbs and animal hair on it. The manager did check on us, and was willing to send us a cleaning crew but I don't understand why it was after we came. There were similar reviews in the past. There was good communication with managers and the check in was easy.

The Hidden Gem

Fall stay to enjoy Rockport and Salem
We were 30 minutes from Salem which made it great a week before Halloween. We got to enjoy strolling the Rockport beaches and downtown area that was full of local shops and restaurants. Many Restaurants were closed for the few days we were there as we stayed into Monday-Tuesday. It was fun to visit Salem and not stay there. The house itself was as the pictures showed and the description described. Comfortable for 6 people easily. The furniture seemed like it would not be kid friendly from the pictures, (Ours are 3 and 6)but there is plenty of wear and tear on them to feel good about the kids lounging, the wear and tear was part of the look, very creative and "artsy". We will be staying again if possible.

I loved the house and the location. It’s a nice walk to Bearskin but still close to beach.
I enjoyed and would go again. Perfectly appointed and pretty and charming. I do recommend that the yard be better maintained. It’s very overgrown. Also sone it’s pet friendly a fenced in area would make it much more feasible. Like off the back steps which is currently very overgrown and not securely fenced. Thank you for a lovely getaway.

Upon our arrival, we discovered wet/thankfully washed linens from previous renters in the washer(left by the housekeeping crew). I was not ready to do the property's laundry on my first day of holiday. The management company was notified. As we had a packed itinerary and pet at the property, I could not accommodate local housekeepers access. Not a deal breaker just not a good first impression after a long day of travel. While the description does reflect the eclectic taste of the property, it doesn't convey that the choice of furnitures namely sofas are in desperate need of reupholstering or replacement. The temporary fixes takes away the comfort of tenants regardless of the duration of stay. As with the common notation of previous renters, the front yard is severely overgrown, giving the impression of neglect (not quaint as pictured). The king beds creaked every time you shift your body, we had to switch rooms with our teenager who was able to tolerate it. Also be aware of the king bed frame reinforced with a couple of 2x4s under the bed which I stubbed my toes on.

Wonderful family weekend
We had a wonderful family weekend with the dogs. The check-in was easy. The cottage is a short distance walk into town and the beach. I loved the location of the cottage on a nice quiet side street. It was great for the dogs. The place was clean and cute. Very eclectic and fun. The kitchen was great and well equipped so we could make most of our meals there. Tiny yard and definitely only parking for 2 cars. The Halibut Point State Park is just over 2 miles away and well worth the ride. We brought the dogs early evening. It was amazing!

We loved this cottage. It was cozy and eclectic. As other reviews suggest, the couch cushions could be mended, and the yard could be pruned, but these things did not detract from our stay. We enjoyed the shabby chic vibe. There is also a great park down the street where we could walk our dog.

Relaxing Rockport Pad with Unresponsive Management
The location is good--no yard, no view, but there's enough of a patio to hang out on and enough garden to screen that from the quiet cul-de-sac. It's a short walk to Front Beach and from there around the shore to Bearskin Neck. There's a lovely park with a playground just a couple of blocks away. The house is a wonderfully eclectic brand of shabby chic, with comfortably worn furniture and fittings in a wide variety of color and pattern that somehow blend into a marvelous whole. The beds are comfortable and there were plenty of blankets to keep us cozy. The several skylights lend light to the rooms and let us enjoy the sound of rain as our dinner music. Check-in and check-out were automated and easy. Other than that, Vacasa (the management company) were completely unresponsive to multiple requests for further information. There was no house manual, no local-tips, and worst of all for our purposes, no WiFi password, despite repeated requests. There clearly was WiFi, because the entertainment system was using it, but the router was not visible. Had there been an emergency of any kind, I do not trust that Vacasa would have been of any assistance. I would happily stay in this property again, but I will avoid future dealings with Vacasa.

Unique getaway in Rockport
Sure, you could find any old rental, but none with quite this style. The tiffany lamps, wild fixtures, and old style decor give it a lived in, carefully curated and decorated feel. It's not for everyone, but it's definitely unique! Walking distance to beaches and downtown Rockport, made a great place to bring the dog in the off season.

Nice weekend visit to the Cape Ann area
Rockport is lovely and this cottage is in a perfect location to explore the beaches and town by foot. The house was clean and very well appointed. The beds are super comfortable. There was an odd smell coming from the plumping in one of the bathrooms that they tried to cover up with air freshener - that was unpleasant. But, all and all, the stay was a good one!

Winter Getaway
This was a great winter getaway. We stayed for 4 nights during the week after Christmas and the place was wonderful. Everything is so close by and most places were still open and active. We walked to the beach everyday, walked to the shop area on Beak Neck, explored some the history of the Rockport, spent a day in Salem, and just generally relaxed in the home in the evening. The house is cute and quirky. Very comfortable and roomy. We all loved it and will probably stay there again!

Great Hang-Out Spot in Rockport
Quirky, cool and convenient. The house is comfortable and uniquely furnished throughout. There is some wear and tear noted in prior reviews, but this is expected for a rental house. This booking is not directly with an owner, but through a third-party rental company. Communication was a little more difficult than usual. I would recommend this property for anybody that wants a cozy place to rest while exploring Rockport.

We only stayed for two nights so did not use all the features of the house. The house is small but was quite spacious for our family of 3. You can comfortably have 6 people here as it has nice 3 bedrooms and two full baths. Location is good. Very short driving distance to town and the beach. The house is very colorful and eclectic which we really liked. Lots of antiques and character. The kitchen is well equipped for a short stay. Beds are comfortable but squeaky. There is a grill outside and a small patio to use. One main problem was communication. This property is managed by a company. Communication was not ideal. I stayed in many Airbnb/Vrbo type of properties and usually owners are very responsive by email or text. There were no clear instructions on the house or the checkout process. Most places have a little booklet with instruction and also suggestion of what to do in the area from a local perspective. I always find these helpful. Overall a good stay for a couple of nights.

Attention Must Be Paid
We appreciated the ability to rent for two days. The location of the house is close to all of the wonderful attractions Rockport offers. As shown the house shouts eclectic charm! The beds are comfy and it looks clean to the eye. Although the pictures are deceiving as the landscape is significantly overgrown, there was garbage in the front yard, the sofa cushions were ripped, the stuffing is coming out and there were way too many linens and towels left in the dryer. The house has a feel of being neglected.
