"Clean and well presented. Loved the chairs in the window overlooking the water. Penguins in abundance after 10pm. Sunset was glorious. Everything is in walking distance. "
"Location great. This was a return visit of a week - speaks for itself! Clean, quiet, comfy bed, dog friendly. Log fire. Hope to return on next visit to Tassie. There are lots of walks in the area, plus the Tarkine loop drive that took us a day. Pippa swam in the river by the boat ramp upstream of the bridge. No tv (that was relaxing) but we had books to read and internet. Thanks for a lovely 8 nights"
"Every detail in the room was thought of. It was so well appointed and so spacious. We were so comfortable, the staff were friendly and the meals were delicious."
"Ours is a return visit to Mount View. We wanted to come back for a longer stay. The house and its location are superb. We enjoyed the peacefulness and remoteness of the landscape and the home is 11 out of 10. It is full of generosity, quality and thoughtfulness from the design to all the appliances and provisions that make your stay easy and enjoyable. Sunrise is worth getting up for and ever changing --- from the mist on the sea to the hillock in front with the cows standing on top. A magical landscape and Mount View is a creative sanctuary within it. "
"The property has the most wonderful views from its elevated position. The driveway is steep - but worth it. Imagine beautiful sunsets in front of a roaring fire on the deck in autumn - that’s what we got. (Not sure if the owners arranged the sunsets, but the fire & indoor wood burner were ready to light.)
Kitchen was stocked with choice of cereals plus milk & juice for breakfast plus other nice touches. There were many appliances & cookware options and a BBQ to boot.
Bathroom & kitchen were very clean, but allergies were triggered in the bedroom (maybe dusty curtains?).
Local wildlife in the garden was an added bonus.
Smithton is located in the north-west, close to the Tarkine drive & Stanley. It has grocery stores & coffee shops making this a great property to base yourself for a few days or just as a romantic getaway.
