Our biggest problem with this cabin was that nowhere in the description does it say “you will need a 4x4 vehicle to reach this cabin”. We drove a subcompact sedan due to high gas prices and a multi hour trip. Upon arrival to the cabin we realized there was no way our vehicle could reach the cabin consistently. The cabin is located 1+ mile off the main road, on a gravel path that is extremely hilly, sharp turns, etc. Our vehicle could not handle the terrain in 80 degree sunny weather, not even inclement weather. Had this been explained to us beforehand, we would’ve rented a suitable vehicle. When we called and explained the situation, the best they could do for us was have us park a half mile away and walk to/from the cabin, which one night we had to do in a thunderstorm. It’s also worth noting that the address on the listing is not even the accurate address, they give you a sheet at check in that gives you directions. The check in process was very unclear, it gave the addresss but didn’t say where in the building (which has multiple businesses in it) is the actual check in.
The actual cabin is very nice. The best part by far is the view, deck, and the hot tub. There was a dirty wet wash cloth left in the master bedroom when we arrived. That was weird. There are multiple broken tiles in the master bath that pop up, could totally cut your toe.
They only gave us 2 rolls of toilet paper for 5 women for the entire weekend. The check out rules are OUTRAGEOUS and you’re required to essentially clean the whole cabin for them or you get charged an extra cleaning fee. We had to take out all the trash, strip all the beds, wash, dry and put away all the dishes, turn up the thermostat, and more. We were very clean, this was a lowkey weekend, but the checkout cleaning was just excessive—and my family has owned & managed vacation rentals before and even I thought it was too much.
Overall the cabin itself was nice but I would not stay with this hosting company again.
