My extended family of eight recently stayed at this delightful apartment for two nights. We were boarding a cruise ship in nearby Civitavecchia, and wanted to explore Rome for several days prior to the cruise. It was a great decision!
Our host, Silvio Ioreti, is a very gracious and welcoming person. He arranged transport for us from the airport to the apartment, and then from the apartment to the cruise ship terminal several days later.
The apartment easily accommodated the eight of us. The three bedrooms were comfortable, the European style kitchen and living room were very well designed. The air conditioning worked very well in the August heat.
This gem sits within several meters of the Tiber River, mere footsteps from the Ponte Sisto Bridge, one of several bridges crossing the river.
The apartment overlooks a piazza, with many shops, restaurants, gelatorias within very easy walking distance. The piazza and surrounding neighborhood awaken at sunset; live music, mimes and a plethora of good restaurants. Fantastic nightlife.
The apartment also sits atop an excellent restaurant, where we experienced an outstanding meal. The owner, Oliveiro served us himself and was gracious and patient with our weary band of travelers.
Silvio's son Giulio came to personally greet us and show us around the apartment. He is very friendly and helpful.
Overall, this was a wonderful experience for us. We would certainly return, and highly recommend it to friends and family.
Mille grazie, Silvio.
